I'll add some books of these thread to the group's shelves. A book in our shelves features in our home page and you can see what other members thought about it with just one click. Hopefully, this way we, avid readers, can find more books to add to our TBRs.

message 9: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (jeshikae) | 2 comments i just finished reading
The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett

i have this in paperback because it's easier to bring everywhere

i found out about it growing up and watching the anime version of it on TV and dubbed in Filipino which is pretty interesting, it was only when i grew up that i learned it's an adaptation of a book, and been wanting to read it since

i got it online at this Japanese online store for used items, because books in japan are much more expensive than what i'm used to

i'm currently reading
Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1) by L.M. Montgomery

i have this in paperback and read it when i have free time at school

i found out about it because i took this Briggs Myers personality test that told me i have the same personality as Anne of green gables, so i was like, alright, who is this bitch, and i'm not even halfway in and i see some similarities, but not entirely like me. (go try that personality test)

again, i got this at the Japanese online store for used items, it's nice because i see some notes sometimes inside the book, like quotes and such that the previous owners really liked, and sometimes they even write their names on the book and it kind of gives life to the book of what it's been through and stuff like that

I saw it had received good reviews from some of the people in the Polls for Souls group and it was free on Kindle Unlimited. I downloaded it to my kindle and then saw that it was only $1.99 to add the Audible narration! So I read some and listened to some.

Kiss an Angel by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Tater♥
Sinjun♥
It was recommendation from a dozen cool friends and a library electronic borrow.
GUUUYYSS!! You have to read it if you like animals and romance.

and
Land of the Beautiful Dead by R. Lee Smith
that was hard to read because it was like arthouse cinema...like the imagery is great but the movie director and later the editor didn't know when to say CUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT!!!! So not for everyone But this author is a genius and this should be a movie directed by Guillermo del Toro.

Both books made me cry and rage and faint and got into a mourning period when I couldn't stop thinking about them long after I finished. I think I'm still thinking about them now.

I still can't pic something new, so I'm rereading one of my favorite books that I suddenly realize is free to read with your Kindle Unlimited membership.
*kisses kindle app*
A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles, #1) by Amanda Bouchet

I'm trying to recommend Promise of fire to all my friends cuz this book is really really good. Kick ass heroine with special powers + morally questionable hero with no powers other than his alphamaleness + Greek Gods. What's not to like???!!!

Guys read Promise of fire, I don't know how much longer it'll be in the KU elite, and you don't wanna miss one of the best fantasy books out there.
