I loved MitGoGaE!
I have the other two on my TBR list and I think The Teleportation Accident sounds hilarious!
I am glad I do not have a book store within walking distance!!!!!
Just bought Maidens' Trip: A Wartime Adventure on the Grand Union Canal which is a non fiction book about the women who worked on canal boats during WWII. If my other books don't work out for the June monthly challenge, I'll read this instead.

I found them all for $1 each so I was happy! I think I might get to The Teleportation Accident after I finish The Bees
I'd love to hear what you think about Teleportation once you finish. It's been on my radar for a while. I got my box of books from BetterWorldBooks yesterday. It was so much fun opening the box and seeing the books. I forgot a few of the books I had ordered so it was a nice surprise.
I still have another shipment coming from them with these 2 to kill off a level in the series challenge:
These are the newer covers which I hope I get but I think they will be the older covers.
I ended up at the thrift store today... The Last Letter from Your Lover by Jojo Moyes (hardcover)
The Cuckoo's Calling by Robert Galbraith/JK Rowling (hardcover)
Some Prefer Nettles by Jun'ichirō Tanizaki (paperback)
I wanna buy something new :'( But I have to wait till my books arrive by the mail so I can buy something different !!
And so I can post saying "My brand new books just arrived" :P
I used up all my credits at Audible and got:Hunted
Finders Keepers
Then, when I went to my library, I got a surprise sale - my choice of selected audiobooks for $4.95. I got Stone of Tymora: Forgotten Realms
I went to the library today and couldn't walk past the books for sale without taking a peek. I ended up parting with $1.00 in exchange for The Island of Eternal Love. I'm afraid I was lured in by the cover:
Dawn wrote: "I'm not sure I'd say it was the best fantasy book I'd ever read but it is really good. I really liked the heroine and the world building.I'm looking forward to the next one."
I think the second book is in the books shops already

Do You read Portugese?
Sandra wrote: "I got Slaughter House 5 and Robinson Crusoe in a yard sale yesterday."Slaughterhouse 5 is a hard one, albeit very good (5* to me)
@Tasha. I only asked because one of the books you recently posted as new acquisition is in Portuguese, and so I was wondering...
haha! I see now, I remember posting that cover and realizing later it was a book in portugese. I was going to change it but then thought it wouldn't get noticed! At least I know it was looked at now. ;)

Is that possible, Travis? You listen at 2x speed. I listen at 1.25x.I bought The Hot Rock on kindle and audiobook through the whispersync deal. This is my first toppler acquisition. Already kicked the "must be books I already own" rule to the curb. I guess if I impose it on myself, I can break it.
I bought some books. I'm hiding them. So shhhh, don't tell anyone else.Havana Blue and The Summer of Dead Toys
Tasha wrote: "haha! I see now, I remember posting that cover and realizing later it was a book in portugese. I was going to change it but then thought it wouldn't get noticed! At least I know it was looked at no..."It happened to me once when I added Seraphina and a couple of hours later a GR friends asked me if I had noticed that this one was the Russian version... I never noticed! I just loved the cover!
I noticed too that for some reason for some books the first link is not the English one. I bought The Chronicles of Narnia secondhand through a facebook group where I bought and sold books before, but I'm afraid I've been cheated on. It should have been sent over a week ago and take only a day to reach me, but I haven't received anything yet and the guy I bought it from is not very responsive to my questions.
So I'm not the only one, Sandra? ;) Good to know! The covers I ended up getting for those 2 books were different which I did expect but hoped against.
Just in case I didn't have enough books to be going on with, I bought two more:The Fair Fight
The Buried Giant
Took a bunch of books to the used bookstore to trade them in and walked out with 60 bucks in credit and
and
I picked up Thunderstruck at the library book store for $1 today. I've read a bunch of larson's stuff and enjoyed them all.
Travis of NNY wrote: "So many great new releases. I splurged and got Finders Keepers, Nemesis Games and The Fold"I have The Fold on my TBR list, interested to see what you think of it.
Wooohooo finally my books arrived today .. I've got The Girl with All the Gifts and Poseidon's Steed: The Story of Seahorses, From Myth to Reality So happy about it .. An I've got a couple more books which did not arrive yet .. Hopefukky after 1 week or 2 !!

Oooh that looks like a wonderful selection!!
My kids love brown bear brown bear. My son just learned to talk and he memorized that book and would sit dowb and read it all the time
These are favorites here too, but we have always read them from the library. I decided it's time to have our own copies. Same thing as More Bears! and Dear Zoo.
Travis of NNY wrote: "My kids love brown bear brown bear. My son just learned to talk and he memorized that book and would sit dowb and read it all the time"Isn't cute when kids that don't read memorize books?

Enjoy with your kids...
Couldn't find the thread on bargain books do posting here - if anyone is interested - The Da Vinci Code is $1.99 on U.S. Amazon and Apple.
Tasha wrote: "Sandra, I love the 'summer box' idea!"We have done it for three years now and it worked perfectly. The kids love it.
They get another prize before school resumes if they read more than the previous summer. It's not individual, it's a team project. We call it our summer reading project.
