Hedda (heddareadss) ok, thanks! I'm not too worried about price, as I'm just going to have to save up if necessary haha. But yea. I will most definitely buy the HEA instead, as it seems like it is more "inclusive". unfortunately not right now as I just stumble upon a new series called "shadow falls" that seemed really interesting.

Sara | 98 comments wait not to get off topic but is that the one about the camp for supernatural creatures and the werewolf and the half-fae boy?

message 103: by Abrianna (new)

Abrianna (abriannaimbrogno) I just finished a new series I didn’t hear of called life blood

Yess

Sara | 98 comments tell me how it is because I saw it at the bookstore last time I went XD

Do you mean me or the other person about the "life blood"?

message 107: by Sara (new)

Sara | 98 comments haha I was talking to you but either one works

I will! probably going to order it online soon because of corona.

message 109: by Madi (new)

Madi Loushine | 17 comments My favorite part of the book is probably May, I don't know why but even though she is a small character I love her. My least favorite part is that the book is a little predictable.

lmao same. The whole banter was hilarious.

I love reading Maxon and America's banter, it really shows their chemistry in a more lighthearted way. In my opinion, Aspen made everything worse.

I also think Aspen just comes in and ruins things, however, if he got his act together I think America and Aspen and could be great friends.

message 113: by Suditi (new)

Suditi (the_book_farer) OMG!!! I am just so disappointed in myself that I didn't read this until now. I love Maxon and hate Aspen. I mean how can he break everything before and come now. It was such a good book. Hopping to the next one asap.

message 114: by Sara (new)

Sara | 98 comments I'm glad you enjoyed it!! The next books only get better hehe (with some good ol' literary drama and tension of course)

message 115: by [deleted user] (new)

my favorit in the series was either the first book or The One, I did like The Heir though

message 116: by Abrianna (new)

Abrianna (abriannaimbrogno) Is anyone excited about the movie set for a 2021-2022 release? Personally I hope it is only one movie because their are only a few movie worthy big plot lines throughout the series and I feel dragging one selection process over three movies will not work. Maybe they will do a second movie on the second series!

message 117: by [deleted user] (new)

I think the Selection would be the best as a movie, one book per movie, like To All The Boys kind of. So excited though!

message 118: by Hedda (new)

Hedda (heddareadss) I think maybe it would have been good as a series?

message 119: by Abrianna (new)

Abrianna (abriannaimbrogno) CW and Warner Bro’s tried doing a movie and show but I think they both fell through because of directors quitting😢

message 120: by Hedda (new)

Hedda (heddareadss) Oh. Yea just thought it would make it longer and you could have more in depth scenes, but you still don’t have to have the hours of multiple movies

message 121: by [deleted user] (new)

maybe aTV series would work, each season being a book and chapters being episodes? Although Thirteen Reasons Why wasn't a great TV show interpretation... they better not botch this

message 122: by Hedda (new)

Hedda (heddareadss) Yea, that wasn’t a bad idea. Hope they get it close to how the books are.

message 123: by bookishcarli (new)

bookishcarli | 63 comments Yeah I’m so excited for the movie! I heard it was on IMBd tv but I couldn’t find it anywhere!

message 124: by Sara (new)

Sara | 98 comments Knowing the YA-to-movie conversion of late, it'll be book 1=one movie, book 2= one movie, book 3= split into two parts, a ton of unnecessary filler fluff, and probably making some major last minute changes to "appeal" to people more XD

(I'm joking)

message 125: by Faith (new)

Faith Noelle (faithnoelleauthor) I have mixed feelings about it becoming a movie. Too many of my favorite YA books-to-movies turned out so poorly, and I don't know if I can watch them butcher The Selection. It would make me so sad.

message 126: by Hedda (new)

Hedda (heddareadss) Same. Especially after the Shadowhunter series. I think we can get disappointed if the characters aren’t as we thought.

message 127: by Ani (new)

Ani (anic) | 156 comments This type of books turn out better (mostly) if they are made into a tv show rather than movies. That way they have enough time to put every detail in without having to change or cut so much.

message 128: by Ani (new)

Ani (anic) | 156 comments But yeah, The Shadowhunters tv show was awful and still I feel the need to watch haha.

message 129: by Hedda (new)

Hedda (heddareadss) Hahaha, me too!

message 130: by Jia ♥ (new)

Jia ♥ (bookloverforever101) Read it thought it was ok but dont get the hype. (please dont attack me for saying that lol),

message 131: by Sasha (new)

Sasha (sashasreading) | 71 comments Book was just okay, hope the movie is better

message 132: by Abrianna (new)

Abrianna (abriannaimbrogno) it is a better story for younger teens

message 133: by Sara (new)

Sara | 98 comments It is definitely a middle school/underclassmen romance but it's still enjoyable at any age
