I love KU. Though I don't read nearly as many books as you do, a lot of MM authors are on there. Some of my favourites too. And since I can't afford to buy every book, this helps a lot. Also, I get to impulse-borrow books just so I can read a couple of scenes that the synopsis hints at and then return them.

That happens to me as well. One time, I kept a book for six months because there were scenes I kept coming back to XD

I got a bit upset a little while ago because I had as an ARC and I went back to reread it and the ARC had expired 😭 Had to buy the kindle edition then because I really wanted to read it again!

For the favourites box, since that is not a genre, does the tag still need to be in the first column? Or is having over 2 people tag it enough?

The rule about things having to be tagged at least twice, and be in the first column of tags applies to all the descriptions involving tags, not just the genres, I just used the word genre to try and explain it, it should probably say 'tag' instead. But, yes, 'currently-reading', and 'favourite' both fall under that rule too x

Somebody asked me this question, so I'm going to post the answer here also -

Books don't need to be tagged 'stand-alone' to count for that block, they just need to not be part of a series, so which are tagged 'stand-alone' but in the third column still count as stand alones, because they are still not part of a series x

and then took a peek at the preview on Amazon where I saw some panels/diagrams. Not sure how many there are but guessing that makes this 1/3 page value? Thought I'd double check for any books I need to add to it to make the page limit. It happened to be exactly 200 pages but with those...

Hi Jamie, I had a look through a copy, but there are comic strips and diagrams on almost every page, and on some pages there are two or more pictures. As we usually minus 2 pages for every picture, you would actually get more points counting it as illustrated, as I stopped counting at 133 pictures, so yes, it would have to counted as an illustrated book, and you'd have to add something else to it to earn a block.

So, 400 pages graphic novels/plays/poetry etc, OR 200 pages of an unillustrated middle-grade/childrens book OR 134 pages of a non-illustrated YA or Adult book, to make up the pages for a block x

Hi everybody, roughly 36 hours to go ☺

Just to let you know, I'm happy to do the following when I do final scores on June 1st -
* Give buddy read points when buddies comments have not been answered - as long as it is just once per person.
* Combine books which have been read by different people, which are too short to count alone, to count for a block. Bonus points will be divided accordingly, but if you want these combining a specific way for specific blocks, it might be an idea for somebody to let me know what you would like on your team review thread. I know some teams have a few like this outstanding.
(Eg: Tara has read a book with 153 pages - no block given. Mary has read a book with 102 pages - no block given. You could combine these, claim a block, and Tara will get 3 bonus points, and Mary 2.)

Similarly, I'm happy for you to post reviews for teammates who are unable to post them themselves for whatever reason, just post clearly who you're posting for when you post ☺

I'm also happy for you to request changes, such as moving a book from the 'Female' block, to the 'Romance' block. Just clearly let me know where the book was originally posted, (eg: message 403) and from which block it is going from and to. (eg: please move message 403, from the 'Female' block, to the 'Romance' block.)
