This is interesting, Meg.
These are good pictures.
I haven"t heard of Edwards- yes, I know.

I've only seen a few brief extracts from the sermon, but supposedly it was so terrifying that some in the congregation fainted! It is mentioned in the book I'm reading now (The American Spirit in Literature), and it is said that Edwards didn't even raise his voice as he read it.

Goodness! How chilling.

Pamela,
The fact that nobody wanted her, due to
her disability, is because Clara was always
meant to be yours.
She would not be an ordinary pet, she would
watch over you to save your life.
That is amazing!

Well I guess it wasn't too scary then! 😂 (But it would be if one really believed it!)

Books!!! You have such a great collection of books.
That was a fantastic opportunity, perhaps the guy was
eager to get rid of them. What volumes did you get?
At the rate you are going, you will need another room
for your lovely books.😁📖📓📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚📚

Thanks Ruth! 😊 I got all 10 volumes. They were printed in 1904.
Haha, yes that's what I said to my dad when he asked where I was going to put them...we'll just have to add on another room for a library! 😁

I love it Emma! Too bad I do not know how to crochet! Quite often my kitchen chairs look like they're wearing socks b/c cat hair sticks to them like a magnet no matter how often I dust!

Lol! I don't crochet as often as I used to, but I do still occasionally. That's actually how I found this pattern, I'm getting ready to start a project and I was looking for a pattern, but got sidetracked by this! 😂❤️

Dear Meg and her first love.
Somehow I picture you in just such a cozy room,
dedicated to your books.📚📚📚❤

Pammy Jo

I missed that!
I saw the line up one morning and made plans to
watch it 😭-and missed it!!
No I didn't know, that would have been a treat to see.😃

Haha, ours is a battered and drafty old farmhouse, but the bookshelf does look similar. 😃

That's pretty neat, Pammy Jo!

Our local weather channel reports that the comet should be visible in my area tonight at about 9:30 and should be in the sky here for about 20 minutes! I'm excited and will try and see it! They say the comet peaks tonight and will be at it's brightest!!!! Oh, I sure hope I catch a good view tonight. I'm taking my binoculars with me even though it is supposed to be visible to the naked eye. (I often wondered why they say "the naked eye"....should my eyes be dressed?) ; )

And it's cloudy here! *sigh* I thought I heard a few days ago that it wouldn't be visible much longer...maybe it's moving south? I'm still so confused about this thing! 😄

Well, I give up! I still don't understand how I saw it at 4 AM when everyone says to look right after sunset. Hmm, maybe I discovered another comet? 😂 It's turning cloudy here anyway.

How long ago did you see it? They said that earlier in the month it was visible in the early morning hours and now it's visible in the evening.
Pam

Oh well maybe that explains it! This would have been the 13th.

I just checked an astonomy website. On July 13th the comet was visible in the early morning, so that's what you saw, Meg!

Oh my, YIPPPEEEE!!!!! Thanks for figuring that out, Pammy Jo!

"
Beautiful pictures Meg!! 😍

Oh, it's beautiful! I used to have a night blooming moonflower morning glory...until a deer ate it! I love morning glories, but have not seen one as spectacular as yours, Meg!

See, it happened again, my reply appears as though it was posted earlier. I wonder if it's something wit my tablet? Very curious! Curiouser and curiouser!

Thanks Emma! It was a very photogenic flower!"
😂 Those are the best!

Thanks Pammy Jo! It is a Japanese morning glory (Ipomoea nil) which is a bit different than the more common Ipomoea purpurea. There are so many amazing varieties with huge flowers, stunning colors and even variegated leaves. Not that many people in the US grow or have even heard of them, but those of us that do are addicted! 😍
Oh, I've got a Moonflower vine as well! It's my first time growing it, and there's a bud that should open in the next couple of nights!

Thanks Ruth! I looked up the meaning of the cultivar name (Seiryu) and it said it could refer to Azure Dragon, a Chinese constellation symbol.
