Oh dear, I know how you feel! 🤗 Sometimes when I look at how much snow we have (not so bad this year, but the past few winters we were literally buried!) I feel like it's just impossible for that much snow to melt before July! 🤣🤣 But, it's usually mostly gone by May at least... 😏
I'm worried this morning. We are expecting 2-4 inches and school is open. My mom had to go on the school van. It's just a regular minivan. Her school is a behavioral health school 20 miles away. She has to go back to pick the kids up right after lunch, during the heaviest snow. I can't belive they didn't cancel classes today, especially because they have the option to do virtual class online. The public school system is just great...And I am being sarcastic about that.🙏🙏🙏🙏Praying for her safety.

My mom is the aide on the school van. A man drives. It's a van full of kids with disciplinary problems. 🙄 They had early dismissal at 1:00 p.m. instead of the regular 3:00 p.m. time. The roads were terrible and there were accidents all over the place. They were detoured 1/2 an hour out of their way, so got to the school late. At least they arrived home safely. The wing-ding-dillies at the school should have called it off today. My mom is home for the day and safe now.🙏Thank you for your prayers! We had another 5 inches of heavy, wet snow. Our neighbors are helping with our sidewalks and driveway. We are fortunate. Hoping all is well in Maine! Oh, the school bus station is right in our backyard, so my mom walks to work. I'm thankful for that!Pammy Jo

We're just getting another inch or so tonight, I think. It's supposed to be above freezing the next couple of days! I'm going to start dreaming about my gardens!! 😁

🤣🤗🤗 I know, it's been a little quiet... Aww, that's horrible! All our snow is slowly melting away...the deepest part where it had drifted was 30 inches! 😳 Which is a lot for what I'm used to! 🤣
Since the week before Christmas, we have had a total of 57 inches! It's unbelievable, and February isn't even over yet. Historically, we've had some of our worst blizzards in March, so we have a long way to go before it's over. I don't expect to see the grass again until May. The plowed snowbanks are so high, you can't eve see over them or around them even if you are in a full size pickup truck! It's unbelievable, and the entire country seems to be having an extreme winter.🛸👽👾❗

Glad you are getting some warmer weather, Pammy Jo! 🤗 It's in the 30s here, which feels really good!! It sounds like you've actually had about the same amount of snow as we've had this winter! We are well below our average.
Pammy, I'm glad it's warming up for you there. I feel like it's Spring, here! Ha! That won't last! Thanks for sharing the link about Louisa May Alcott...I'll have to read that! It looks really interesting. I would love to visit the Orchard House someday.

That is SOOOO funny!!! If I saw a sign like that, I believe I would follow the directions!😆😅🤣😄😂😁 All went well on my outing. We ran into the grocery store and ALL of the cat food is gone!!! There were signs up saying due to issues with manufactures, they don't know when they'll get more in stock! It's the same in every store! Luckily, they still had one bulk box of the kind my cat, Clara, likes. No individual cans, though. If I can't find more, Clara and Sarah will stage a revolt against me!!! This world gets crazier by the day!🙃😲😭

Oh, no! Have you tried ordering online? I know it takes a while to get there, but it might be best. We get a lot on chewy.com .

My seed order arrived today! I save some of my own seeds, but with the drought last year a lot didn't make it. It will be time to start planting the early things in a week or two...I can hardly wait!! 😃

My Pop-Pop grew the vegetables and my Nana grew the flowers. 👨🌾👩🌾 It was so beautiful in that garden! How I loved the smell of my Nana's kitchen when she did her canning! It's my kitchen now, but I don't have a green thumb, so I don't can anything. I do love to bake, though!🍞🍰🥧

I went shopping yesterday and found one case of the kind of cat food Clara eats, and also a case of Sarah's favorite...12 cans per case. That was it. I bought both cases. There were no other cans left. The shelves were bare and there were signs posted which said they have no idea when they will be getting more cat food! I spent Thursday and Friday driving all over, looking for cat food, and even drove miles out of my area. Shelves were completely empty everywhere! I'm thankful I found some yesterday, though not enough to last very long. I went to 16 different stores! It's unbelievable. When I checked online, Clara & Sarah's brands were completely sold out, too!😦 Two pet store managers told me they heard it will not improve until the end of Summer!😢😩 Strange times we live in...and scary.😳Pammy Jo
Of interest (and of concern)... I just looked online to find out if I can feed Sarah canned tuna packed for humans to replace her skipjack tuna cat food. It is not advised because tuna sold for human consumption is way too high in mercury contamination! Lesson learned...I would be better off eating Sarah's cat food! Very enlightening, and very disheartening. Holy Mackerel! Or, I guess I should say Holy Tuna! Thankfully, Clara is not a tuna fan, so she eats chicken or salmon varieties.😳😮😯😲😱

That is very concerning, Pammy Jo! 😟 I haven't even looked yet to see if cat food is getting scarce here but guess I should...I've got two kitties to feed too! Is it just canned food or dry as well? Did the manager say why there is a shortage?

Is it just canned food or dry as well?"So far, just canned. It also seems the biggest problem is with Purina brands. Even their "treats" are unavailable. Of course, my cats will only eat Purina. I've tried other brands to no avail. Sarah simply won't eat other brands and just walks away from the dish. If Clara, my feisty one, finds a different brand in her bowl, she slams her paw on the edge of the bowl, flips it upside down, hits me on the leg, and generally throws a tantrum! They always say no two children are alike!😀😂🤣😃😄😅😆 (My cats are my kids, you know)😊

One time, I couldn't find Clara's usual brand of litter. I bought a different brand. Clara looked into the litter box, sniffed at it, jumped on the edge of the litter box with both front feet and flipped the litter box upside down, too! What a mess that made!😆
Clara is the one with the deformed paw. I think that's what made her feisty. No doubt, she had to be pushy to compete with her siblings. I got her when she was a year old. Her personality was already developed by then.

My cats are stocked up on food for a couple of weeks. I'm relieved about that and hope the supply situation improves soon. We are under a high wind advisory for later today through tomorrow morning...50 mph hour winds expected. It's neverending.🙏🙏🙏

The local meteorologists seem to think it's coming in like a lamb! 50 mph wind and bitter cold does not seem like a lamb to me. I've come to the conclusion that they must all be drunk!🍻🤪😆🍻

Today they said 6 at first, then lowered it to 3. Well, we've got a good 4 inches already and it's still coming down hard!

That happened here last Monday. The forecast said a dusting of snow only on non-paved grassy surfaces. Nobody cancelled school, so all buses were on the road. It kept snowing and snowing and snowing. We ended up with 8.5 inches... roads were closed, buses and kids were stranded, etc. I was worried sick about my mom, as she was out on the school van during the worst of the storm. They rely far too much on computer model predictions and not enough on common sense and their own brains! 🤯 As I like to say..."Ding Dong! Avon Calling!" LOL!!!🤣😃😂 (No offense to Avon!) I want to put a rock outside my door to predict my own weather...If it's wet, it's raining. If it's dry, it's fair weather. If it's white, it's snowing. If it's gone, it's very windy! 😂😃🤣😁😆

Oh my, Meg! That is a huge amount of snow! The kitty cats seem to be fascinted with it! Has the snow ever blocked your doors so you couldn't get out? If so, what do you do then?
