I think theres a few teams all rather close, so be interesting to see who gets there first. I expected to wake up and it to be all done π

This was my first ever ptp, but yeah seems like in the past got claimed quick. I saw that, oh well I was happy to take part and give it a shot π

I was part of the winning team at the very first PtP, we all had picked a short book and finished in less than 2 hours from the call! I had to stay awake until 2 a.m of course, but it was fun!

Oh that's awesome! Majority of my team had all picked shorts out, I stayed away till about 2am myself this time but I enjoyed it a lot.
Only regret is I didn't use option 2 at all during the challenge, I kept checking teammates shelves but I just never picked anything in the end π
Now I'm trying to decide whether to read book and risk it could fit our next task, or go for something less then 150pgs...
I just finished my Bingo book. I would go for a shorter book, but depends on how you're doing with your SH reads.
Elizabeth wrote: "I just finished my Bingo book. Im saving my bingo for the moment, as its politics which I'm going to need to boost myself for. I've decided on some fanfiction for now and going for a food shop π
Sunshine wrote: "Whew! Glad PTP is done. Usually I get my final book finished fast."Yeah, I'm glad it's done, too. One challenge less to juggle with, especially now we're getting out of lock-down for good.

Have you read Calluvia's royalty series by Alessandra Hazard? It's great fun, nothing like what you're thinking political romance is.
Sunshine wrote: "Just posted my completed for selection 2"Great, Sunshine! I'll update the tracking post.
I really like this author's stuff, but she hasn't published anything new since 2018. I was wondering what happened to her.

Lol that's actually one I've put on my tbr as possibility for political π I've gone with Private Members for now though as want to avoid starting to many new series at the moment x
Good timing. I just finished mine and updated the post. Will go over and indicate we are ready for next task now

I've got one that is really good but I'm not sure if it is more royalty - but I'll check to see.
I have not been able to dig into my Animal Crossing game much for days so the rest of today is that for me. I'll read again tomorrow :) It's going to rain so I may do an extra run this afternoon instead of tomorrow.
Jo * Smut-Dickted * wrote: "Good timing. I just finished mine and updated the post. Will go over and indicate we are ready for next task now"Awesome, Jo! Thanks for posting. Kat will probably check completions soon.
Here is Task 16:95. Read a minimum of 1200 pages with the sun or the moon on the cover, teams decide which.
Select which item you are using and make sure you post the qualifying cover in your completion post. You can use any edition's cover, but make sure you use the first edition Kindle for your page count.
I feel like moon is the easier option here, I'm already thinking of the fantasy and paranormal books on my shelves π The sun I don't think is seen as often, I'm happy to try it though if prefer it xx
I'm probably go with
or
Moon's fine - let's just go with that!Edited: and then i got through the TBR and found a ton of sun's. LOL
If we go with this I will go with
Tracking postTask 16. #95. Read a minimum of 1200 pages with the moon on the cover
β Elizabeth: They Both Die at the End, 376 pg Completion
β Jo: Familiar Beginnings, 214 pg Completion
Laura:
β Book 1: Of Paper and Wood 179 pg Completion
β Book 2: Marcus in Retrograde, 231 pg Completion
β Sunshine: They Both Die at the End, 376 pg Completion
Total pages = 376 +376 + 214 +231+179= 1376
Ok, moon it is. I had a hard time finding one, believe it or not! You can now post your selections!
Laura, I'm not sure I can see a moon in your second book, maybe you should check with Kat before reading.

Lol I was surprised to realise I don't have many moon covers either π I don't think I have any with the actual sun on though, I mean lots with like bright sunlight but not the actual shape so moon seemed easier to me to be more obvious xx

Awesome! That was a quick task, be interested to see what's next. There's so many we could get or even unknown, having a little look at the task list again now. Seeing what might be fun or easy, what ones I'm unsure or be difficult x

I don't want to be super picky, but where is the moon on this cover? Please tell me where to look, I'm sure I'm just missing it!

Oh no problem! It's behind the title, there's moon and star π
Well, here is the problem - that isn't the moon. That is a gold colored symbol that is crescent shaped on one side and star on the other. The task calls for the sun or the moon on the cover, the team chose the moon. This book has a depiction of the moon on the cover and that isn't what was called for.So, here is the plan. I need another book to fill this spot, but I'm going to assign the next task anyway. Laura needs to find a book that fits with the moon on the cover or take a pass, either way I need another 238 pages in a book with the moon on the cover. If a book for the next task also has a moon on the cover - that's a win in my book! Please just post include that in your completion. I will need the replacement book before I can assign another task though.
Hi, Sorry about that I didn't realise just presumed it would work I should have checked. I will take the pass for this task, since others all done and ready for next. It's my mistake. Also my other option the one I actually checked with you is 600pgs so I don't want to leave everyone waiting at this point. Thank you for letting us move on πSorry team! I will pay more attention next time.
So here is your next task:51. Each teammate reads a book published in the same month and year, teams decide. No pass for this task.
Use the initial publication date for this task. Select the month and year and everyone reads a book published in that month.
Laura, I will reserve your pass until the next task is complete. You can read a book with the moon on the cover and it will fill both spots. Either way, I need another 238 pages with the moon on the cover. π
So, Laura, are you going to read Human Omega: Babied by His Guardian Mates? This one is published May 2019, so if you pick it we all should find something published this month.
Nope, dont worry! Stick to November 2019, I was only going to read that as plenty of pages so would of boosted us if needed on 1200pgs.Im see what I can find for date we decided, otherwise will use pass for moon I'm not too worried about needing it later anyway.
Laura wrote: "Elizabeth wrote: "So, Laura, are you going to read Human Omega: Babied by His Guardian Mates? This one is published May 2019, so if you pick it we all should find something published this month."..."
As I understand, we need another 238 pages with a moon on the cover. Someone has to read this, if not you someone else.
Oh yeah I just realised that... I'm having look at moment for moon found a few but not 238pgs. I'm just do 2 if need be, sorry about this I hate to hold everyone up. So just go with November 2019 as we agreed originally and I'm figure it out xxI really didn't think it wouldn't fit. I was too focused on the other one didn't even think that book would be a problem... π
