Sleep well!

Why???"
S-s-s-leeeeep? What is this thing called "sleep"?

Task 29: Read a book with an average rating of 4.2 or higher.

Murder House by Jordan Castillo Price
Page Count: 272/GR Kindle
How it Qualifies: Average Rating 4.30
Date Read: 08Jun2020
Rating: 4 Stars
Review: Ooof, I can see why a lot of people didn't like this one; with so little couple-time, the romance was practically non-existent and there was little relationship development. The story wasn't the strongest of all the cases either, and for once the horror aspect was downplayed. (Unless I've become accustomed to it.)
But...
Vic will always be my favorite MMRomance MC & I really liked his disdain for skinny jeans, yoga, and repeated references to his douchey undercover persona. And for him to move up, to get that clearance he wants, this assignment (and installment) was a necessary step.
Looking forward to the next one!
(Also, I wonder if part of Vic's craving for sweets and high-calorie food wasn't some bleed over from Bly?)

It took me some time to get into this book. I don't mind read hockey MM Books but I really don't like reading about the game much. I don't understand it and I don't watch it.
I think the main thing that bothered me was that it is written in third person, which is a weird way to write and takes me right out of the book.
That and the fact David was the most unlikeable MC I have ever read.

I thought people gave up with the personal hygiene for a few months...sounds good to me! Save water (and money heating hot water) and give your skin & hair a chance to replace some of the natural oils that keep it healthy.

Review: Gabe and Roman are still hot AF together, and while there wasn't really much to the mystery in this one I still really liked it. Adored how they jump into growing their family, too.

Trying to find shorter books more than 4.2 is difficult. I have seen a couple here but they are books in a series. I have another Nicky and Noah book I can read.

I’ll double check all the books for Kindle first editions tomorrow morning before you go to bed Lisa... (Not that I’ve ever caught you out 🧐)

Review: Yeah, again original review still stands...especially the bit about how hot AF those scenes were!
I think I'm on a Joel Leslie binge. It's a good thing in these that he's performing an Aussie accent because otherwise I think I'd overdose!
Original Review 17Nov2017: 4 Stars
This one started up immediately after the first installment left off...which, considering I read that one over a year ago was a bit off-putting. Had to go back and refresh myself on the story; makes me wonder why it was split off from the previous one like that.
The new client was a bit of a douchebonnet and I can't believe it took Spencer that long to figure out the nefarious angle of him being hired to 1) find the ex-boyfriend, Yanni and 2) befriend him to get close. It pinged my bad-guy radar from the get-go, if only for the lack of consent aspect involving said missing ex. Yanni didn't hire him, so yeah, that should have been an automatic no deal.
But this is fiction and without that plot device we'd only have the sexy times. Not that there is anything wrong with that! There were several and they were hot. I also loved that their friends and family meshed well. When there's animosity, distrust or dislike there to overcome it gets a bit frustrating; most of the time there's already enough drama in a book that it doesn't need additional pressure from the family (unless THAT is the central drama).
So, yeah. I think this would have been better served as part of that first novel but whatever. I'll put the next one on the TBR.

Lots of insta love between a country music star, outed when he exclaims his live for his friend and a small town sheriff deep in the closet.

I hope this challenge comes back and hope we can be a team again.
Shannon, make sure you keep us up to date with the body
I think that the top 3 teams, maybe 4 are all MM teams.
Jane, I usually get up to go potty in the night, so leave a note if anything needs changing / amending and Ill do it before the deadline.
Its actually going to be nice to read what Id like to read and not have to worry about the page counts or it fitting into a category.
This, PtP and the monthly mini gang bang are the only challenges I participate in, so choosing a book now might be difficult.

Sleep well - will update our tracking post & double-check out editions soon 😊
And yes - hopefully we can all play this challenge together again! ❤️
