I really enjoy this series :) I've always loved psychic books and this one is chock-full of spirits and mystery. Secondary characters are getting a lot of extra attention and it really benefits the storyline and complements the MCs. On to the next!

I'm not constrained by YA this month with GOTM, it's just "romance" so any MM will do!!

A bit of an insight into BUD/s. 2 men who attracted to each other but who need to be careful even though this is the era after don't ask, don't tell.
See there is a second book in the series but its MF. Why do authors put a different sex mix into a MM series?

I've wanted to read this book for years but figured I would get frustrated and sad reading it so I put it off. I was right. I did indeed get frustrated and may have shed a tear or two. Totally worth it. It was so freaking great and painful and hopeful and beautiful. I could go on. It's a must read for those who like a story with teeth.

Its crazy - we have gone from 24c in the early morning a couple of days ago to 4c (75F - 39F). Could be a long winter... Seems a lot earlier this year.

The planet is crazy. Here in LV it seemed like winter didn't hit much at all. But it HAS rained a lot in the last few months.

I will be looking for a 'historical' or 'futuristic' tag or the equivalent in your qualification. Lists that are specific to historical or futuristic would also work. Please remember to use the Kindle page count!

Review: This was so well-written, so well-researched that I find myself thinking I need to go back and review my ratings for other books of this genre because I don't think they'd measure up.

Loved the action & romance, the battles & side-characters, and especially the ending. I'd totally read a sequel about Kit & Griffin's adventures working under-cover for the Crown. Also, I'd adore a novella about how Lewis & Protheroe met! I know this was written a while ago (and again, I keep managing to own books for years without reading them - so disappointed in myself) but a girl can dream!

Orlando and Jonty are back and are off for a vacation in Jersey.
There were a few funny moments in this book, especially when Jonty decides roll down the hill and finds its not quite the same as when he was a child.
I did have an inkling for the murderer which is unusual, but all together a good book.

Intrigue and romance - what more could a girl ask for? Another excellent Historical; I loved that there was no convenient pairing off as sometimes these period MM books are wont to do. Had I not just finished another excellent Historical, this probably would have rated slightly higher...I think the Big Misunderstanding near the end diminished the plot just a little bit, but not enough to hinder my enjoyment.

Interesting mystery which is solved with the help of Jonty's father and brother in law.
I am really enjoying this series of books.

Hi Michaelle - you need to change your edition to one with a lower page count by 30 pages...

I did that as an effort to keep things a little fairer because so many of the tasks require a page count. That way people aren't searching out the large print edition or something. 😊

message 495: by ⚣Michaelle⚣ (new)

Any years can be chosen, but they must be sequential with no years skipped. Examples would be 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, you couldn't skip 2014 and end in 2016.
