I'm in the middle of reading As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride, and it turned out that Andre the Giant, who played Fezzik, was just an absolute sweetheart on set. He helped the actress who played Buttercup stay warm when they were filming a scene somewhere that had her shivering by putting his extra large, extra toasty hand on top of her head like a hat. The guy who played Vizzini had a fear of heights, so Andre held him extra tight during the cliff climbing scene and reassured him. He was also completely cool when a bunch of the cast and crew brought their families to meet him and take pictures with him (I think Cary, the guy who played Westley, who was also the guy writing the book itself, said he stood for over 100 pictures that day). He was constantly smiling and making people feel better, even when he was exhausted or in pain. Is it too late to recommend him for sainthood? At least as the Saint of the Princess Bride? Also, since it's a nonfiction book, the acts of kindness really happened so I wasn't sure if it'd go in this thread or the real life one, so I just went with "it's in a book" to decide.
I finished The Unteachables by Gordon Korman a few days ago. There are a lot of acts of kindness in the book, but one of my favorites was when the injured football player stands up to his former teammates for picking on one of his new classmates.

The Wedding War by Liz Talley 4/11/20 3.5starsThere wasn't much kindness in this book but Tennyson help Melanie, her former best friend and soon to be in-laws thanks to their kids getting married, helped her pick out a more flattering dress for one of the events rather than what she usually puts together.

, Sunita spends a lot of time not understanding or appreciating her family and culture, but the kindest scenes happen at the mall.1. Sunita overhears her mom and Liz's mom talking about Sunita's mom's struggles and how she wants to go back to teaching and not be a model Indian wife for her parents, and she realizes she's been kind of mean to her mom, so when she and Liz's mom come to pick them up, she gives them a hug.
