In the story The Fairy Godmother, Lord Suthtun cares for his charge, Eadsele, when he becomes suddenly deathly sick on their way to the Lord's home.
In Eight Girls and a Dog, the girls agree to be maids for a neighbor when hers quit and she has important visitors coming.

Also, since it's a nonfiction book, the acts of kindness really happened so I wasn't sure if it'd go in this thread or the real life one, so I just went with "it's in a book" to decide.

Currently I'm reading The Soldier Who Killed a King: A True Retelling of the Passion by David Kitz where Jesus healed several people

Winnie's grandma who owned the fruit orchard sent fruit, baked items and anything she could think of to the local food pantry so that no one especially kids in their county went hungry.

There wasn't much kindness in this book but Tennyson help Melanie, her former best friend and soon to be in-laws thanks to their kids getting married, helped her pick out a more flattering dress for one of the events rather than what she usually puts together.

When Rian's daughter breaks her arm and is rushed to the hospital in Nebraska while she's in NYC for work meetings her boss asks the owner of the company they are doing business with if they could use his corporate jet to get back as fast as possible.
In One Year in Coal Harbour, Evie and Bert take over running a restaurant after the owner/cook gets arrested.

No Time Like the Past by Jodi Taylor 11/4 had so many in there I want to pick out only a few and they were all done by different characters in the book.
1. Malcom saved a boys life whilst stuck on the roof of a burning building
2. MC helped a couple disappear forever and start a new life with their illegitimate son.
3. The boss lent them his Bentley and then saved them from the crowd after they screwed up.
4. (view spoiler)
Battle Robots Of The Blood by Adrian Liston 11/4. I was really happy to see this in a book a mother got her child vaccinated in order to prevent her friend getting sick.
Bear and Fred: A World War II Story by Iris Argaman. A man gave up his bear to a museum in order to teach children and allow them to learn from the bears story during WW2. Especially since they had been together all their lives.
Harry's Lovely Spring Day by N.G.K.. Harry was given an umbrella and a coat by a stranger to help him after finding him standing in the rain. "when you do something small you can change someones day".
Poco Loco by J.R. Krause. MC tries to warn his friends of bad weather. (view spoiler)

1. Sunita overhears her mom and Liz's mom talking about Sunita's mom's struggles and how she wants to go back to teaching and not be a model Indian wife for her parents, and she realizes she's been kind of mean to her mom, so when she and Liz's mom come to pick them up, she gives them a hug. Later, she helps her grandfather talk her grandmother into talking her mother into going back to teaching.
2. Sunita is at the mall with Liz again and she sees her grandfather being bullied by some of her classmates. She intervenes, even though she suspects it will cost her some friendships.

Salt to the Sea - 4/2/20
Refugees are fleeing to safety during World War II. There's a group that stick together to help each other survive. One being a nurse, the other with military training, and another takes care of an orphaned boy.
As Bright as Heaven - 4/11/20
Takes place during World War I and the Spanish Flu pandemic. Centers around a family and how they help each other survive.
BTW... both excellent reads, highly recommend. Read the synopsis for more info if interested. 😊
In The Ark Plan, a main character sends his pet to distract an animal from possibly killing the other main characters.

Seamus and Caine keep doing things to ease Evangeline's life since she's about to lose her business.

Based on a true story. Everything the author/lawyer does is kind from starting a non-profit to help those in jail that don't belong there to the way he treats his clients.
