i just wanted to let you know that i finished Banishing the Dark and i really enjoyed it. it was a great way to end the series. i'm hoping to get to a couple more books, but work is getting in my way of reading right now (grrr. i is a cwanky ol' witch when i can't read at least a hundred pages a day...i'm not sure that the people around me appreciate me all that much. stupid work. but, yay, more money for books!!!), so i'm not sure how much more i'm going to be able to read. i really want to read "burn for me", "shadow game", "soldier's duty" and "sugar creek". i'll see how it goes. i also have other challenges to finish, so it should be interesting.

I have really enjoyed them. Perfect Chaos took a while for me to get into but when I did I couldn't put it down. I have had The Marriage Bargain for a long time now but because it was a paperback & not the kindle version it probably would have taken a lot longer for me to get around to reading it, so thanks for picking it.

Finished my 5th book for this month!

New to me Author:

I don't know why I kept putting this one off. I've had it for awhile and kept saying I was going to read it. But something else would pop up. I'm so glad it was chosen for me! I loved it. And I'm always cautious reading new authors. Through the first half it was up and down for me. But a lot of that had to do with growing up within a MC family and seeing the discrepancies between what is written in the book and what is actually real. Then again, it is a fantasy story so I don't hold it against the author. The beginning jilted me a little with going back and forth between different times. She did differentiate at least, which a lot of authors seem to miss.

Tarsila--I just finished my 3rd PIFM book this month, Where Roses Grow Wild and really liked it--great chemistry between the characters and I loved the scrappy heroine. Thanks for the great recommendation!

Again, I had this book already bought so I would have to read it some day. I have to say? Was like ripping off a bandaid. BUT, I KNOW it is a great book. I just dont really support all the teenage sex life considered usual and normal and ordinary. And just because Cameron did it now he is suddenly a champion? Oh, come on! But despite that (this part was not good at all) the book is great, because, again, Markus Zusak wrote it so of course it is genius and extremely well written! Thank you for picking it up f

Read another book!

For Older Book Amanda chose: Wicked Ties, published in 2007

I think I got a bad transfer for this one. Sentences within a paragraph, and occasionally multiple paragraphs were jumbled up. But from the deciphering I did this was a great story. I will be trying to get it straightened out before I officially state what I think though.

Just wanted to let you know that besides Scandal And The Duchess , I've also read Viper Game (which was quite a disappointment to me, frankly) and started the Black Jewels series with Daughter of the Blood and I loved the universe so much that I went back and read the last three books The Shadow Queen , Shalador's Lady and Twilight's Dawn. Thank you so much for the great picks!

Also I WILL read Cut & Run and The Last Thing He Needs as soon as possible!

Karen - Forgot to check back in - I finished up The Sum of All Kisses - wasn't my favorite in the series, but I was glad to see the guy who got hurt in the Duel get his HEA

I also listened to Angels' Blood (although you recommended the 2nd one) - and glad I did, because I remembered like NOTHING from when I read this a few years ago

going to try and squeeze in one more before the end of the month (probably one of the shorties)

I was reluctant to try new adult romances and added on my TBR just to try it out. I'm glad you gave me the push to try it.

I also read Hard Knocks. I think sports romances aren't my thing. I wasn't drawn in to the story. Alas.

Wow Dee, you've been busy! I'm so glad you've been enjoying your picks, especially Do Over - it's one of my go-to recommendations, and I will try to find a way to fit it into my picks for almost anyone who hasn't already read it. And I agree about Liliana Hart - I enjoy her books, but she just doesn't have the touch for shorter stories that someone like Mari Carr has.
