I'm Cristi and I'm planning to not fail miserably at this challenge for the 3rd year in a row. I used to be a very avid reader, which changed significantly after I had kids and started reading and writing for a living (but not necessarily in that order). I love the idea of the Popsugar reading challenge as a way to break out of reading genre ruts. Hopefully 2021 is my year!

This is the first year that I am participating in this challenge, and already it has been so much fun organizing my tbr list. I am looking forward to reading books that I would not have read otherwise (looking at you, How to Be Both and Elizabeth and Her German Garden).

I love talking about books, sharing books, debating books, etc.
I've never done a Reading Challenge before and my partner suggested we give it a try so here I am! I'm super excited to find new books and genres to love.
Happy Reading!

(....and hopefully I wont forget about this site in a month again)

Thrillers/mysteries are my happy place but have really broadened my reading list over the past few years and have discovered so many great new authors and stories. I just printed out this year's challenges and am adding it to my reading journal now!

I am really excited to join in this challenge.
My name is Lucie. I am au-pair and I manage to find a part-time job last year, which I was really happy about, especially with everything going on in the world. I am an avid reader. One of the people who say that DNF a book is still counting as finishing a book and that audiobooks are reading because there are still people who don't think so. If I don't read I watch booktube or listen to Taylor Swift or play Animal Crossing.
Hi, I am Jess! I have quarter-assed doing these challenges for about 3 years, but am committed to actively participating and completing it this year. I used to love reading, but the past few years my anxiety wouldn't let me focus enough to get through a chapter let alone a book. I am hopeful using this list will help keep me motivated and on target - and help me get back to my favorite pass time!
I usually gravitate toward Stephen King type stories and memoirs, so I am excited to broaden my horizons and mix it up a bit. I've always wanted to be in a book club!

I love the movies, animation especially
I prefer reading fantasy and adventure stories, but I'm open to all genres.

I enjoy historical fiction, contemporary romance, mysteries, and biographies.

This is my first Popsugar reading challenge. I attempted the goodreads Reading Challenge last year but I didn't hit my goal and I'm pointing the blame at the culprit of most things that have gone awry in my (and surely your) life lately = 2020.
Anyway, here's to a better year! Cheers!

Happy reading, and looking forward to getting all sorts of great recommendations from y'all!

I'm determined to make time for it though, reading during my breaks at work, and I hope to get through half this challenge this year! My only real problem is not having enough room for all the new books I'm gonna get lol I'm sure many of you can relate!

I am Christine, 33 from Bavaria Germany. I read in German and English.
I´m working fulltime as a civil servant at the town hall.
Reading is my main hobby and I want to try something new in 2021. I hava a pile of around 300 unread books and want to have a little fun while getting that number a bit lowered. Its my first time with the popsugar challenge. I just printed the Spreadsheet and will make some plans for the next weeks soon :)
My favourite Genres are Thrillers, Classic Crime, Contemporary, some ChickLit and Non-Fiction about History and Health.

in English but I try reading in Greek too.
I attempted the 2020 Popsugar challenge but started in the middle of the year so didn’t really get much done. This year I want to try and read at least 25 books that will tick most of the challenges boxes, and another 5 that I choose at random.
Super excited about it - I love reading and discovering new books/authors but through this challenge I am hoping I will open up to different genres and writing styles, and understand certain social issues or topics better.
Good luck to all of you!

I thought I'd make sure everyone knows about our weekly check-ins because they have been a huge help in keeping me motivated with the challenge in previous years. I always have a little extra push to make sure I have something to report on!

Looking forward to working my way through this challenge and making some new friends along the way!

Welcome Christine, nice to welcome another civil servant. I work at a municipality in the south of Netherlands, a few kilometers from the German-Dutch border. Happy readings!

Hi, my name is Alessandra I´m from Mexico and I have never taken part of a reading challenge not even read more than 3 books a year but I wanted to challenge myself to read at least 1 book a month and this group seem very fun! Hope to get out of my comfort zone!

I’m a Mum and (almost) a pre-k teacher.
I read just about anything so I’m really looking forward to the variety of this challenge (especially since I stumbled down a paranormal rabbit hole and have yet to stumble back out 🙃)
