message 12: by Mitsy (new)

Mitsy (mitsyc) | 68 comments Yes, I've got to nominate my favorite romance novel Darker Water by Lauren Stewart. Romance is not close to one of my favorite genres, so I was hesitant to read this book. I did so because I love the paranormal books from the author. I am so glad I did! Darker Water is a true romance novel, different from the typical romance novels I choose not to read. I love it!! :)

Darker Water (Once and Forever, #1) by Lauren Stewart

message 26: by Luanne (new)

Luanne (luannebrown) | 1 comments I would like to nominate "American Goulash" the first book in a memoir series by Stephanie Yuhas. This is a charming book, both funny and poignant about Stephanie's challenging childhood. To say her immigrant mother and grandmother were eccentric is probably understated. Filled with old world (Transylvanian and Hungarian) superstitions which they impose daily on Stephanie as a child, they can't stomp down her indomitable spirit. Stephanie made me laugh and cry. She has a great sense of the absurd and despite her early challenges, she's carved out a great life for herself as a producer and writer. http://www.amazon.com/American-Goulas...
