Kaisersoze | 294 comments I'm in! I've read the first two, so will follow along without spoiling anything, and then join in the live read of Last of the Albatwitches.

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Awesome! This is very exciting!

We got a nice online treat from Brian Keene:

https://www.facebook.com/permalink.ph...

That Facebook article is an excerpt from the first draft of next year's new Levi Stoltzfus novel, INVISIBLE MONSTERS, which takes place one month after the events of LAST OF THE ALBATWITCHES (which is on sale now).

message 5: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments Ok Kaisersoze your in also, I add your name to our list.
Jonathan will be our designated Brian Keen Mythos encyclopaedia and researcher ! What's a Noden my friend ?

message 6: by Jonathan (last edited Dec 16, 2014 05:34AM) (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Nodens is one of the most powerful of the Thirteen. More powerful then Ob or Leviathan. :)

Can you capitalize the L in Levi and the S in his last name for the title topic? Names are power as Brian Keene's Black Lodge members always say.

Excellent online article about Levi: https://authorbobfreeman.wordpress.co...

I am a obsessed fan.

message 7: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments No problem :-) will sort it out !

message 8: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Thanks Mehmet! I know I am terrible!

The next two Levi novels are Invisible Monsters and Bad Ground.

Levi's story will end with Bad Ground. Invisible Monsters is due out next year. Link: http://www.briankeene.com/2013/05/02/...

message 9: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments I brought Darkness on the edge of town, because I liked the sound of the story, little did I know it was to be connected to this buddy read ! Wow life is like connect the dots sometimes ;-)

message 10: by Addy (new)

Addy | 5111 comments I've read the first one and have the next two in the series. I'll join in when u guys start Ghost Walk.

message 11: by Addy (new)

Addy | 5111 comments Dark Hollow is a blast btw! Loved it!

message 12: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments Hello Addy been a while since our last Buddy read. Nice for you to join in :-) feel welcome to pop in and chat, anytime. No need to wait, i keep our progression on the books updated on the thread. Welcome once again :-)

message 13: by Addy (new)

Addy | 5111 comments Thank you! It has been a while huh? Excited to join you all. Keene is fantastic! Can't wait to get this going:) I'll be chiming in for sure.

message 14: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments I agree Brian Keene is a great author, I find his story lines have great imagination and are fun to read. The group HA introduced me to Brian Keene and my great friend Jonathan showed me Brian Keene Mythos universe in which a lot of his series are connected into and linked. For example the Book Clickers vs Zombies had a guest appearance of Levi Stoltzfus, albeit a alternate universe version. This is fun when you reading, it adds to the enjoyment. It also brings depth into the novels and makes you think long after you finish.

message 15: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Awesome! Welcome to the group Addy!

I would like to thank Mehmet as well. It was his idea to read Earthworm Gods last Spring and since then I learned so much about more about Brian Keene's Labyrinth mythos! The fun part is that you can start anywhere with any of his various series or standalone books and still connect the various dots that tie his work together.

Mehmet said it best though, this is all a lot of fun.

message 16: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments Jonathan we still planning on reading Swan Song after Levi Stoltzfus series ?

message 17: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Yeah. I am thinking February or March we will finish the Levi series. I am happy to start then!

Are we reading Darkness on the Edge of Town after Last of The Abatwitches? I have been saving that book to read for our buddy read!

^_^

message 18: by Mehmet (last edited Dec 16, 2014 03:21PM) (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments Yep :-) I actually revised the first thread and included the book Darkness on the edge of town. So no worries Jonathan it is all part of the buddy read. That is cool, I been looking forward to read Swan song for ages. I got a old edition that I found in a 2nd hand book stall in Bath (a famous town in West England which has a Roman bath still intact).

message 19: by Jonathan (last edited Dec 17, 2014 05:14AM) (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Nice. I got a copy of Swan Song too. It a nice size book, longer then King Blood. We should go back to the Apocalypse Whenever forum for that one and say hello to our old pal Gertie.

:)

Swan Song by Robert McCammon

message 20: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments I agree Jonathan, the book suits that group perfectly. Must not forget our friends from the king blood buddy read :-)

message 21: by Jonathan (last edited Dec 17, 2014 05:15AM) (new)

Jonathan Echevarria (gabrielzero) | 862 comments Would it be cool if we read the Dead Sea series together after we read Swan Song Mehmet? Then if you aren't sick of me by then, maybe we can read the Metro 2033 series. There are a lot of books I want to read in 2015.

Dead Sea by Brian Keene

Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky

;)

message 22: by Mehmet (new)

message 31: by Mehmet (new)

Mehmet | 1241 comments Hey Mr East, sleep, left, read you are more then welcome to join, his books are quite flexible so you could start anywhere to be honest. You may miss out points regarding his world building which only comes over reading a mixture of his books. But do not let this deter you as our Brian Keene expect Jonathan is on hands to help, if you have any questions. So yes in answer to your question. You want to join ?

message 32: by Jonathan (last edited Dec 18, 2014 07:15AM) (new)
