Just completed my selection for "K" - The Good Girl by Mary Kubica. The book was written well and I liked the characters. The alternating chapters from before and after told from different perspectives was an interesting technique. The "surprise" at the end was rather unnecessary and I had figured it out by the time it happened. Worth reading. 3.5 stars12/26

That works for me, Heather! You'll be listed at 0/25 on my end until you're completely finished, but that's fine with me. If you want your progress in the participants list to be updated at any time, just pop in and let me know how many you've read. No need to post the list repeatedly if you don't want. You're so close to being done, Zita! Way to go. :)
Five so far. 5/26I don't know how the moderators keep up on these lists. I can't even keep up with my own lists.

I missed two books I added to my list. Math is not my friend. I don't blame you.
17/26 haven't updated my post as I just finished the book on my phone and am posting this via phone. Still true. ;)
It's not too hard to keep up! I try to swing by this thread at least once per day and just add the updates quickly. For the challenges I'm participating in (rather than leading), all my lists live in my member corner. When I finish a book, I take a minute to write a short review and then add it to whatever lists it belongs on. It's become my book decompression ritual before I move onto a new book.
Just completed my selection for "N" - The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. I am incredibly impressed with this book! The story is well-written, crafted beautifully, and contains complex characters. There is a very smart thread of suspense written throughout the story. Overall, it is a story of love and forgiveness and the will to survive unbroken. Definitely worth reading! 5 stars13/26

Updated message 15:5/26 Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth by Chris Ware - 2 stars - I think I just didn't love it because I don't love graphic novels. The story itself was sad, and you know deep and meaningful and all that jazz.
6/26 The Brothers K by David James Duncan - 4 stars - Waaaaay too much convoluted baseball talk, but if you skim over those parts, the story is really well written. There even MIGHT have been slight moisture on my cheeks at the end.
