AWESOME!!!

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Hey I know that we are supposed to write on the spreadsheet all the dates that can be used for our books but these older Johanna Lindsey books I listed above have been published like every year since 1985. Its going to take me hours to update the spreadsheet with that info. I guess what I'm asking is if I can just pick a date and roll with it. I'll try to stick to the oldest date since I'm at the beginning of the series starting out that way I can knock off all the dates I can as I progress through the series. Is that ok with you guys? I'm sure we are allowed to change something later if we are desperate but I'm just going to tell you I have tons of historical romances dating from 80's onward that I wont have any problems filling spots.

Just pick one. I will be doing the same thing. There is NO reason to waste time filling in every year.

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Ok I'm going to stop for now on spreadsheet updating. I think I have all my Johanna Lindsey books I can find on there. I have a heap load of Jude Deveraeux I can bust out when these are done!

message 55: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments I found that out with the classics so didn't write any of the dates in other than the original one. I just wrote 'lots' to remind myself i can shuffle them anywhere if needs be

im gonna put my review up in a little bit. starting Tuesdays with morrie now.

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments Hi Jennifer :)

Cinthia I read that at the end of last year and loved it! I hope you enjoy :)

I'm starting each morning this week with a poetry collection, but won't add them on the review thread until I've read enough pages and can add them all together to use a year. They won't give us any points but we can check off an older year, at least, as one of the collections is from a few decades ago. Apart from that I have a free day today so might do a mini 24 hour readathon to power through some of my upcoming reads.

message 59: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments Cinthia, I looked at the threads and I can read Brave New World and The Bell Jar with you, if you wanted?

I've just been posting as I go. I suppose we could always assess and see, later in the month, where any gaps are

❀ Crystal ✿ - PEACE ☮ LOVE ♥ BOOKS (crystaldc18) | 10122 comments I only added the extra year option on the ss in case we were going to have trouble filling in certain years but it’s clear we won’t have a problem since a lot of you are reading all over the place especially older years. So at this point it’s not even necessary-we have so many plugged in lol I’m hoping to have three posted for myself today!!

Does anyone know how it will work for books that have to be combined as they’re under 200 pages. I’m assuming we only get to pick one year from one of the books but wanted to check.

message 71: by Aly (new)

Aly (alyp_01) | 11128 comments Okay thanks!
Crystal, I'm thinking you're right about picking 1 year but I'm not totally sure

message 72: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments @cinthia Awesome. Want to do Brave New World tomorrow, or is that too soon?

@crystal I remember reading in the rules that you can combine books published or written in any year and choose any one year for all of them :)

message 73: by [deleted user] (new)

no that's good. I'll take it to work tonight and try cracking it lol

Thanks Dannii. Think I might just leave this one on the wayside for now since I'll have to read another short to combine it with anyways.

I can possibly do series reads but don't know if I can get them both done this month. Let me know when will work for you!

Woohoo, we're off to a flying start! I'll have a few 2020 and 2019 releases read soon. I know their not what we need but I got behind on my Netgalley reviews, as they didn't work for last month's challenge, and am trying to slot them in here.

I have to say I like this idea I can never remember where I put a certain book and looking for my name on the spreadsheet takes me a minute...

So this is like bingo right? if we clear a line we get extra points?

Im gonna focus on my Brave New World by Aldous Huxley now... I'm falling behind ;(

☆☆Hannah☆☆ | 6596 comments Yes it's just like bingo. If we complete a line we get 25 points.

message 94: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments And an extra bonus of 250 points whenever we complete the board as well, I think :)

message 95: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 3530 comments Hey everyone!

I am totally slammed at the moment with projects and pretty much only able to listen to audios but I will have things to review by the end of the week. Unfortunately, most of them are from the last decade. I'll try to squeeze in an older book here or there as I am able.

message 96: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments Hey Jennifer no worries girl! If you audio-ing anything from KU and you want me to buddy read it with you let me know. I’m not trying to go hard like we used to though. Real estate starts flying during the spring so I’m trying to pace myself!

message 97: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments Hey Jennifer, totally no worries! I hope everything gets a bit less stressful for you, soon :)

message 98: by Dannii (new)

Dannii Elle (danniiellereads) | 9874 comments I didn't realise we got bonus points for horizontal as well as vertical rows. We've got three completed now :D

message 99: by Tiera (new)

Tiera McMillian (hawtmess) | 3419 comments I'm currently reading House of Earth and Blood (Crescent City, #1) by Sarah J. Maas but there isn't any room on the spreadsheet. Can someone who is spreadsheet savvy add some more room for 2020? Maybe all the more recent years at the bottom since I feel we can complete that row the most.

I added a bunch more rows so go ahead and fill them ☺️
