Emma | 15 comments I read this book in the early 2000's. A brother and sister, possibly twins, are home alone during a storm on an island in a lighthouse. I believe the parents were smart scientists work for the government, because of that they go missing. The children were smart to in there own way (I think one of them had a big parrot as a pet) During the storm these menacing guys come to the island and the kids try to get rid of them using their smarts and some tech stuff.

I am pretty sure it a middle grade book, only about 200 pages.

Thanks for looking :)

Emma | 15 comments Yeah I think Storm Tide is it, the names ring bells and so does the part about the treasure, however its seems to have been published only in 2011. Strange. I could have sworn I had read it in 2004/5. Oh well

Thanks for the help!

You're welcome.

If you discover it's not the correct book after all we can move the thread back to Unsolved.
