Out of print book from the 1970s about a magic radio that predicted things before they happened.

This was a book i read in 2008-2009 it was made for around 10-13 years olds most likely and was out of print when i read it. It was about these children who had a broken radio that predicted the future, it was set in new york. they predicted campbell’s soup cans having botulism, horse races and other things. at one point or a few times they went to a betting parlor. I think it had a green cover. any help would be appreciated
