Hayley wrote: "Wow Robin you are on a roll :). Any of those become a new favorite?"LOL yeah but I don't know how long that roll will last. I have a lot more time to read now so I am FINALLY getting to work on some of my TBRs and challenges.
My new Favorites out of that lot of books are:
and
which I just finished in the wee hours of this morning :)A lot of those were just ok so it was nice to get a couple of 5 star reads in there. I am trying to work through my TBRs and just reading random books.
My latest two reads were Lies My Girlfriend Told Me which I really liked. I wish there had been a little bit more character development, not only with the MCs but with some of the secondary characters too. Overall, I really liked the storyline and the pacing was really good. Julie Anne Peters has become a new favorite author even though I have read a couple of her books before.
I also finished The Fall of the House of Usher. The first time I read this was way back in high school/jr high school and I didn't like it any more then than I do now. Poe just doesn't seem to work for me. This story was rather nonsensical and had no plot. Just not my cuppa tea.
Awesome. I will definitely check those three out that you mentioned above. I've been looking for some good Christian Fiction to dive into, but, there are so many to check out!Looks like, Lies my Girlfriend told me, is actually on my TBR :)

I have read a lot of the Christian Fiction.....some of my favorite authors are Beverly Lewis, Wanda Brunstetter, Shelley Shepard Gray (she writes some mysteries in her Amish/Romances) Cindy Woodsmall, Lauraine Snelling. I hope you find some that you like :)
Thank you ma'am. I have some Beverly Lewis. I actually loved the one book I've read by her. It was an Amish Romance.
Last night I started
. I'm trying to recall if I've read Maya Banks before. If so, not much. So far (10% in), it's a fast read.

I've read a lot of good reviews of some of the books and have been wanting to start the series for a while now.

This week I finished
Some Kind of Magic by Theresa Weir. This was a unique contemporary romance that I found entertaining. Then I read
The Vampire With the Dragon Tattoo by Kerrelyn Sparks. This was a so-so addition to her Love at Stake series.

I like the series as well. I didn't like book 1 that much though but the rest was awesome

Yeah, this was had a bit too much angst and condescension. But, I still enjoyed it.

Have read 11 , 12 and 13 ?

I've read 1 - 14. Still have two books to go to finish the series. These books are hit and miss. 1, 3, 5 and 11 were my favorites.
Finished
Alone with You by Shannon Stacey. Cute novella. Then I read
Caught by Harlan Coben. Couldn't put it down.
Books I finished recently include these:
,
, and
. The last one has a great heroine, and a supergeek/hunk duke of a hero, but I struggled given the situations the heroine deals with.
I'm starting
to finish out the trilogy. I started it a few years ago and didn't get very far. Now that I've read more of Jayne Ann Krentz's books, including some of her earlier books, I'm enjoying this much more.
Lara, I used to read everything I could get my hands on that was written by JAK. I should pick her back up again.
LK,she is a comfort read for me. I automatically purchase all of her new books and have grabbed a bunch of her backlist as well.
Yeah, I think I'll check out something she's written lately. Anything from her latest that you're particularity fond about?
Since I last posted on 1/15 I have finished these:Keesha's House★★★★★
Starry Night★★★
What My Mother Doesn't Know★★★
Cruel Harvest: A Memoir★★★★★
Nevermore★
My Salinger Year★★
I am currently reading:
Lisa Kay wrote: "Yeah, I think I'll check out something she's written lately. Anything from her latest that you're particularity fond about?"She's been writing a lot in her Arcane Society series (with events in 3 time periods, no less!). However, for one of her recent stand alone contemporaries, I particularly liked
and
. Of the contemporary Arcane books, I love
, which I have listened to multiple times.
♥Robin♥, I've had
on my iPod for awhile now... I just need to get to it. All this preparation for moving is interfering with my reading - and listening - time.
Finally got around to
; it was on my TBR shelf for too long. Finished it and
so I'm currently reading
. Such a great series!

ShoSho, I love
, but felt it was slow at times. I felt that
was better. And I loved Kate Reading's narration. It was my introduction to her excellent skills.
Tonight I started reading
. I've been meaning to get to it for a while, so am glad that my Sub-genre Surprise partner picked it our for me.

Lisa Kay wrote: "♥Robin♥, I've had

I think moving is one of the absolute worst things to do. I think I would rather clean my bathroom or dust(which I hate) than to move.
I am not that far into
but so far it is ok. I really used to enjoy Sandra Brown back when she wrote Romance but since she has converted to the Romantic Suspense/Thriller her books have been hit and miss for me and as bad as I hate to say it, it's been more misses than hits.
