Well.
This is the last day of summer vacation here.
I'm supposed to get half my 'contemporary classics' list for English tomorrow.
At least I don't have to read all nine this year, only four.
Wait, seriously? School already?

Public.
I still have to do my home classes till then.

Yep. .-.

That's quite dreadful... luckily I have a full four weeks left of summer vacation. I do hope it isn't too hard on you, though.

Thanks. ^-^
Nah, it'll be alright. My dad's letting me take driver's ed instead of him just teaching me, so I have that to look forward to.
Driver's Ed is the boringest shit, like, ever.
But that could do with the fact that I give off anti-social vibes.
Maybe it'll be different for you?

Some kids I know might be there, so at least I'd have someone to talk to.
Someone to talk to is veryyyyy good. XD

you never know, he might be able to help me out.

Used to call me 'Blondezilla'.
He was a jackass, but like I said, crazy good driver.
Haha XD Most jackasses are good drivers :P
Well I was actually going for the assumption that if jackassery is proportional to good driving, then you'd need quite a bit of practice to become somewhat of a decent driver.

I finally ordered Welcome to the Jungle, the first Dresden Files comic book!
I'm really psyched.
My only other references for what Harry should look like is bad fan art (not all, of course, a lot of it is awesome) and that GOD-FRIGGING-AWFUL TV show.
Supposedly Harry's perfect in this one. <333
I love Ardian Sayaf's art, so I'm excited.

Would you just LOOK at him?
Looks just like the guy who modeled as him on the Fool Moon and Dead Beat covers.

Oh. Wow.
This one's personal.
Uh, okay.
Well, for starters, I got close to a couple of people on Goodreads who are now good friends.
I became vegetarian and I've stuck with it for over six months now.
I joined DeviantArt, and getting pointers from a couple of really nice artists has helped me improve.
I got serious about school, and it's looking like I might actually have a shot at my scholarship at Texas A&M.
I gave up choking cold-turkey.
Gay marriage got legalized nation-wide.
That was a high for all of us.
Alright.
Here's the bummer.
There was the whole Cam incident.
I...Had some pretty dark thoughts a few months ago. I didn't end up doing anything, but still. I was hoping i might not have those feelings anymore.
I didn't get far enough along to start school in August like i was supposed to.
Hmm.
Heh. That could've been worse.

Ahh! Yes!!
It's gotta be Storm Front by Jim Butcher!
It's the first book of the Dresden Files and, even though it's referred to as 'the weak start of the series', it's totally awesome.
We're introduced to a 'youngish' (i was thinking 35-36, turns out he was about ten years younger! XD) wizard who works to keep the people of Chicago safe.
We see every single aspect that makes the rest of the series so great;
Harry's smart mouth.
Who doesn't love a smartass?
The unpredictable lines the stories can cross.
We can go from a frog demon trying to kill Harry to realizing what flawed character he is, seeing how hurt he's been in the past.
And, of course, the magic system.
The idea that magic is inside all of us, that we could all use it for good like Harry does it a really up-lifting thing to think about.
In short, Storm Front was probably the best book i read last year, and they get better as they go.
P.S. HARRY DRESDEN IS NOT AN ADULT FANFICTION VERSION OF HARRY POTTER!

"What's the signal?"
"I'll imitate the scream of a terrified little girl."
WHERE IS THAT FROM IVE HEARD THAT BEFORE

Eh.
At least I;m pretty sure 'stunt penis' belongs to Harry.
I love cameo quotes though XD
I would say google it but nahhh. :P
I would say google it but nahhh. :P

That'd actually be pretty cool.
Nope. Not googling stunt penis.

Probably.
But being paranoid doesn't mean there's not an invisible demon about to eat your face.

I'm gonna see if it works.

Now let's see if I can fix the survivor too.

Looks like we all just had to re-submit our work what wasn't showing up.

I think everyone has their limitations.
I, for instance, will never be anything that RESEMBLES math wiz. I can barely do basic math. Don't even get me fucking started on that shit with the letters. XD
I'm not stupid. I know a lot of useless facts that, in all fairness, will get me nowhere in life.
Ergo, education is really too vast a field for one opinion to be placed on it.
I think everyone has to learn something in their life, so, in that light, education is pretty important.
But, on the other hand, I know a lot of people who never even finished high school and get along great in life.
So, in THAT light, it's utterly useless.
Knowing a bunch of crap doesn't make you smart; being able to handle yourself does.
And i can handle myself.
The whole five-foot-ten-and-change thing helps, but if i was stupid I'd still be dead.
Don't stress over algebra and English and whatever the hell else you stress about.
Just roll with it.
That's my view on education.

"Zit aight f'i tag wiyall?"
What they mean:
"Would it be alright if i were to accompany you all?"
Someone from Dallas's answer:
"Yea, tha's aight."
What they mean:
"Yes. That would be alright.
