Authors with books published in multiple languages should have their names dealt with similarly to those with pen names. All editions should have the primary author name as the standard or most common Roman (that is, English-language) version of the author's name. Editions published under another spelling of the name or the name in another language should have that name listed as the secondary author. Different editions of a book not having the same primary author can cause quite a few distinct problems. Please keep the primary author for all editions of a work the same.

Ok, I got it, but what I asked is different. It's OR wrong name writing (mistake), OR same language, but different name abbreviation.

Please note, on GR there is a difference between combine and merge. Combine means linking different editions/translations of a book together. Merge means deleting a duplicate edition (= an edition that is identical to another edition, but missing details).#12: A variant spelling of an author name that is used on the cover of some editions should not be merged. The default author name should be added to the books, that was already done.
Someone had combined the book in #1-4, but combined the wrong book in #1. I've corrected that one.
#13-5 According to Worldcat, the English edition is an adaptation of the Russian edition. Adaptations should not be combined with the book they are based on.

Vladislav Petrovich Krapivin was born in the city of Tyumen on 14 October 1938. He received a degree in journalism from the Ural State University. In the course of his studies, he started working at the newspaper "Evening Sverdlovsk", followed by several years in the periodical "Ural Pathfinder". Krapivin has been a full-time writer since 1965. His first book, The Voyage of Orion, was printed by the Sverdlovsk Publishing House in 1962. Over the course of his literary career, Krapivin became the author of more than 200 publications, many of which have been translated.
In 1961 Vladislav Krapivin founded a youth group called "Caravel" with the main activities for the kids that of journalism, fencing, sailing and all things maritime. "Caravel" exists to this day, led by its former graduates.
