I've finished!!
(view spoiler)[Adolin killing sadeas...that I didn't saw coming. Finally he is dead!

Kaladin. I liked that he went to save the king and the way he finally got syl back was great. That reveal of the sword that didn't need ten heartbeats made me think immediately of shallan and her sword and the time they were in the abisms and she couldn't use pattern to make illusions. It was also epic when he appeared to save dalinar and fight szeth. I would have loved to see more of the fight. And as you guys said I would have loved more strong reactions from Adolin and shallan and dalinar when they saw him. But it was still good.

Shallan. I didn't thought of her killing her mother but I should have now that I think about it. That's tragic really. Killing her mother, her father taking the blame, and then she killed her father... No wonder she hates pattern. I just hope she forgives him and don't kill him. And she must be careful with that nightblood group... Do we get to see more flashbacks from her? Because I was curious as to when she pronounced the words and when she created an illusion with sound.

Dalinar. I loved that he fought well enoght against szeth. I also wonder if he had a spren that he killed or something because he said that using stormlight to heal his wounds was familiar... And look at that scene with the doctor when she told her how could he move the arm with that many scars. I loved that he bullied the stormfather, but does that means he will not be able to use a true shardblade? Because the stormfather doesn't seem the type that lets himself be used like that. I'm so looking forward to his flashbacks...even when you say they hurt a lot

Renarin. I was suspicious. I thought he was a surge under with how he behaved. He sees the future apparently. With what is coming I guess that is not going to be a fun power. I would have loved to get to see more of him, how he discovered his powers and all that.

Lopen. Haha, that little scene was funny. He can now use stormlight and his limb will grow. How happy he will be.

Elhokar. I still dislike him but I now pity him more I think. He tries but it's not enough. I guess he could become a leader, but I still see dalinar as a better leader than him. Apologizing to kaladin was a good scene though, and he must have thought a lot about it to do it finally. He still needs to bond to a cryptic. It will be interesting to see how it goes.

Szeth. So now he is a true radiant. That herald Nam is very strange, killing some potential readiants and then bringing szeth back... There are so many orders that seem so interesting. I can't wait to know more of them (hide spoiler)]

And about that link to Reddit.(view spoiler)[I read the version where kaladin spared szeth life, and it makes more sense to his character to do that. It's frustrating because szeth killed a lot of people but killing him would not make as sense to kaladins character I think (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, me too, paperbacks are so much easier to handle and don't take up so much space. And they're cheaper, which is definitely a thing to consider in my case. I think I'll get it on Kindle and then buy it when paperback arrives (the need to own beautiful books will make me go bankrupt haha)

And I'll be reading Edgedancer and rereading Warbreaker too. I already have Edgedancer and my copy of Warbreaker is still at home (and I'm not yet), but I can probably get a hold of it.

About Dalinar. Hmm, yeah, you're right. Could it be the thing that was happening to some bridgemen? Or was he, in a way, already bonded with Stormfather (since it's different from Shallan and Kaladin, something could've already been going on and we didn't notice)? (hide spoiler)]

Finished my Way of Kings reread just now and jumping into Words of Radiance (have it in paperback and audio) late and hoping to catch up before you all start Oathbringer in September. I suppose I have to squeeze in an Edgedancer reread too. A Warbreaker reread isn't going to happen, but I tend to find that(view spoiler) Just saw the last time I started reading this was almost exactly 3 years ago to the date (August 28th 2017)

I know right! Makes me so happy. Yeah, so much easier to handle, the hard cover makes it heavier too which hurts your wrist after a while. Haha, I'd love to buy loads of books but I haven't got anywhere to put them! I was using the library up until covid, it's open again now, but I'm still kinda suspicious even though the books have been quarantined, so I'm mainly been using my kindle. But with Sanderson I feel like I need the physical books. Yeahh, would be good if you could get a hold of Warbreaker too, I'm intrigued, it definitely looks different....

Oh yeah, only realised now you mentioned it that Shallan killed both her parents! Crazy... I honestly think she's out of her depth with the Nightblood group. I think we'll definitely see more about her, get the feeling there's more to come still...

Dalinar; nah, I think it's just because he's a warrior by nature not that he had a spren previously or anything.

In the prologue, did you guys notice that (view spoiler)[ the assassin Jasnah was meeting with, Liss the Wheeper, not only kills with a Shardblade, but she used to own Szeth and had sold him only several weeks before the assassination of Jasnah's father to a slaver? (hide spoiler)]

Warbreaker I think
I read the prologue last night and was both grateful and dismayed to know that even though I read the book no more then 1,5 years ago, it's seems pretty much like s new book to me haha

I read up until chapter 7, but spoilers are mostly for prologue and chapters 1 and 2

(view spoiler)[I liked the prologue. Sanderson shows us how the magic works very nicely.
Chapters 1&2 - Changing the colour of once hair seems so cool. And I must say the writing here is very picturesque (not sure if that's the right word or if it's even used this way, but I hope you get my meaning). The grey Idrian town and the occasional bursts of colour we see (Siri's flowers and the pink letter) can be pictured very well and it makes for a very striking image.
And now about Dedelin. Him sending Siri away made me so angry. He sent his troublesome daughter to save his favorite. Seriously? At one point he says he can't imagine his 22yo daughter in Godkings arms and bearing his child, but a 17yo? Yeah, totally fine, sounds good. Not to say that Vivenna was prepared for that role her whole life and Siri had no training whatsoever. Basically they both got what suited them the least. That's fucked up Dedelin.

Vivenna feeling bad about suddenly being unimportant makes for a nice contrast with how Siri felt about being unimportant. (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, agree. It makes my book cover make a lot more sense too; the girl on the front is all greyed out and there there's bursts of colour on the side, I really like it.
