Yes, the way I understand, if you found a book that is cornflour colour then that should work:)
Anne wrote: "Heather,How ever did you find that book of just the right length?
I am so impressed! 😳"
Because I am a nerd, lol. So, when we started UNO. I made a spreadsheet of all the books in my TBR with page numbers.
Heather wrote: "The Queen of Nothing This is a 300 page ebook if anyone has read the first two in the series."I noticed that too. Unfortunately, I finished it a few days before mini started😅
LaurLa, did you finish Starting Over before or after the mini started? I just realized that I just assumed that you did😅

Haha! Nerds rule!
I am picking up “The Raven Boys” for a reread. Then we have the number 300. Blue live at 300 Fox Way.
Jeanette wrote: "I am picking up “The Raven Boys” for a reread. Then we have the number 300. Blue live at 300 Fox Way."Unfortunately, numbers can only be found in:
page numbers
series number
publication date
Because 300 is a three-digit number, we can only use 300-page books for that task.

Dang! I have only been able to find a book with 301 pages and one with 272 pages. Is there somebody who hasn’t read The Queen of Nothing yet?
Jeanette wrote: "Dang! I have only been able to find a book with 301 pages and one with 272 pages. Is there somebody who hasn’t read The Queen of Nothing yet?"If no one else reads it, I can try to read the first two in the series and then queen of nothing before the deadline, but that is a lot in a short period of time, so not sure if I will make it.

Actually there is a second part to our February mini:)For an extra 30 points, our team needs to create a recipe for our team name - New Wave Upside Down Cake.
We have until the last day of February (29th) to create it.
So, we have to create an upside-down cake with a new wavey twist (whatever that may mean to us😅)
Can't we just add some star dust and fluorescent sprinkles to a regular recipe? As you can tell I am not much of a cook. 😨
Kristel, Are there slots left now that we should focus on, that you are worried will be hard to fill? Or should we just keep on as we have been?
I am still trying to power through

Feb. mini: Eggs (page 226 "Herger told me they use this method for gathering of sea-bird eggs at certain times of the year...")
Could our dear captains add this to the spreadsheet for me?Thank you!
Is anyone reading a 300 page book? I finished the 270, and 120 page book, and I’m wondering if I should start a 300 pager.,
Anne wrote: "Kristel, Are there slots left now that we should focus on, that you are worried will be hard to fill? Or should we just keep on as we have..."
The hardest are:
cornflour
passionfruit
kiwifruit
I think as long as we find books whose cover colours remind us of these fruits, we should be fine
For instance, I think
can work for passionfruit, because the colours are very similar:)I also snuck into some of the other teams' threads and these were the books they used for passionfruit:
Heather wrote: "Is anyone reading a 300 page book? I finished the 270, and 120 page book, and I’m wondering if I should start a 300 pager.,"I think you should go for the 300 page one:)

Unfortunately, I'm also not much of a cook myself. I didn't even know what a upside-down cake was before this challenge😂
I'll try to google something tonight and hopefully, inspiration will struck:)
Heather, the version of The Red Garden you shelved has 306 pages not 270. Please add the version you read to your uno shelf. If you read the 306 version then, unfortunately, we cannot use it for that particular task.
Kristel wrote: "Heather wrote: "Is anyone reading a 300 page book? I finished the 270, and 120 page book, and I’m wondering if I should start a 300 pager.,"I think you should go for the 300 page one:)"
I have a 300 page book I can read if you don't want to do it Heather. I'll probably read it this month at some point, so I'll just check on if it's still available when I'm done with it next week.
Oh no! I didn’t even pay attention to how many pages the kindle edition had! I just looked at Goodreads page count! Sorry guys! It had other ingredients though, so it is still of use. I did read the correct 120 pager, so I will add it shortly, and I can read the 300 page book.

I can read the Anita Desai one next if that would help.
Except the cover of the hardback, the paperback and the nookbook that Barnes & Noble show on their website all have a red background with a golden leaf shape on it, not the one you show with a darker red background and a box of matches.
Anne wrote: "Except the cover of the hardback, the paperback and the nookbook that Barnes & Noble show on their website all have a red background with a golden leaf shape on it, not the one you show with a dark..."That version was the one that the other team read. So, yes, if you are unable to read that version then that book cannot be used for passionfruit.

That does mean that we still need a 270-page book.
