@Lau can you check if your books work for the mini challenge? :)One or two tasks which it would work for are fine. I think this month it is best to either claim a task or just list a couple, not all of which work. I think everyone is stressed enough without having to think about that as well :)
Both work for 8. Read a book by a new-to-you authorIT'S ALL IN YOUR HEAD
Works for
Read a book that was first published in 2019

Thanks!
We have covered half of our March cards, well done everyone :) As I said above, this month around you don't need to list EVERYTHING your book works for for the mini challenge. It is stressfull enough for all of us at the moment, and I want reading to be a stress relief, not a chore. There are a couple of tasks which could be hard to find, so please have a look at our spreadsheet and read through them
being stuck inside because of covid-19 is making me do random and unnecessary things, but I also finished Catching Fire today! x)
I'm getting some reading done, but work has been busy. I do taxes and it's not something I can do from home due to security and privacy. I should have a couple of books to post tomorrow though. I hope everyone is staying healthy and sane through all this madness!

12) takes a risk (Cassie)
I think it's the anxiety. I can't focus my attention, my mind starts to wonder to covid and I can't be thinking about it 24/7 so I just watch a mind numbing TV series to forget
Idk if it's just that. I have uni work to do, and I can focus on that. Might be that my brain shuts down after that. What really helps me is being able to skype with friends and having roommates. I hope none of you are alone at home
it's weird, but covid is one thing I'm not actually anxious about. like I know it's serious, but it's not in my hands. I hope that everyone who can is social distancing like we've been told to, and that's all we can do at this point really... I do still take our dog out though which helps my sanity a lot!
I'll go out for a bike ride today, I need some fresh air. I hope the police will leave me alone :pBut it's actually a bit uncomfortable how silent it is in Vienna. Not even many cars outside. The only positiv thing this has is, that our nature can recover a little bit. I read that they spotted dolphins in Lignano/Italy for the first time in years, and that makes me so happy
I think I'm not actually anxious about covid itself, just kind of the unknown of what comes along with it. I know the virus can be devastating but I think we are doing our best to handle that and minimize it's impact. My worries are more along the lines of how long will we be in this state of not being able to do anything outside of the home? My husband's cousin just had to postpone his wedding from April 18 to late August. Will we be able to go on the trips we have planned for this summer? Will kids be able to graduate? I know a lot of graduation ceremonies will be cancelled, but will kids even get to move up to the next grade? I would guess/hope so, but what do I know. What are all of the little implications that I haven't even thought about yet? I work part time for a small business and am staying home unpaid for the time being (fortunately my income is just for us to do fun things and to buy non-essentials) but there is a chance the business may not even survive this. It is what it is though, and worrying isn't going to change anything so I need to find a way to shut my brain off about all of the what ifs and how longs. I'm a planner by nature so all of this up in the air stuff isn't easy for me by any means.

(Cozy) Mystery means it can be a cozy mystery, but doesn't have to be. Mystery works just as well.

oh, we almost missed this, sorry! Ambi, did you finish this before or after the mini challenge started?

In the book I'm currently reading a character says, "My assistant Jennie did all the shopping" and then they describe furniture and decor that she bought. She also stocked the kitchen with enough food to feed "half of Hawkins County for weeks". We were not actually "with her" for the shopping, but she did some shopping. Does that count?
I think (from searching in the ebook for the word party) they might also go to a party in this one but not sure. My other current read is about teenagers, so there might be a party in that one too. Unfortunately, it is during the summer, so they aren't currently going to school.
Ashley, since we weren't shopping with her I wouldn't say it counts unfortunately. If we don't find another book I could move HP1 over as Harry gets his school supplies in Diagon Alley. Then we'd need a book with a character who has a dog. I might finish HP2 as well though, so that could still work :)Any books which really don't work at all for part one of the mini challenge we'll just use for part 2 then :)
I'll try to finish my yellow book over the weekend. I can start reading HP again, I think it'll actually get me back into reading again :)

urgh I never watched its last season! will have to do a rewatch at some point and actually finish the show. I did however meet Tatiana Maslany when she shot Woman in Gold in Vienna - she's an absolute angel, the kindest human being ever!
