Rosemarie, I feel the same about that! I won't be reading it either.
Just on the question of how to determine the age of a book, if there's known to be a significant difference between the two, I think the date it was written is more important than when it happened to be published. The former has much more of a determining influence on the book's actual characteristics than the latter does.
I agree with you, Werner, especially when the book was not published at all during the author's lifetime.

After reading reviews, it's a book I will not be reading, since To Kill a Mockingbird was so good.
