Karin Mckercher (karinmckercher) At this point, I'm interested in reading Ship of Fools, which is from The Unvanquished, a Winter 13/14 selection (discovered via the scroll-through).

I reserve the right to change my mind at any time. :)

Elizabeth (Alaska) You're good on that one, Karin.

Elizabeth (Alaska) You're good on all these, Sam.

Liz M I don't know what I want to read yet, but these are some of the possibilities:

Tenth December -> Speedboat
Tess -> The Mill on the Floss
Goldfinch -> A Tale for the Time Being
Goldfinch -> The Orphan Master's Son
Goldfinch -> Lila
Bridge Drina -> S.
Waterland -> Eva Trout
Quiet Front -> Testament of Youth (found via arrows)
Oil on Water -> Women of Algiers in Their Apartment
Evil Hour -> The President (found via arrows)

Elizabeth (Alaska) Liz, these are added to the list!

Yes, it's why I didn't want to create a master list, only to have it be significantly different in 2-3 weeks!

You're good with these!

Karen Michele Burns (klibrary) | 5290 comments Part of the reason I'm loving this task so much is that I try to fit my books into the SRC and RwS! I think I just found the memoir I want to read for the SRC and it pairs up with our group read, The New Jim Crow nicely, too:

From the The Goldfinch:

Men We Reaped: A Memoir

Of course, as I was looking anyway, I found a couple more ;)

The Sleepwalker's Guide to Dancing
Instructions for a Heatwave

Thanks so much!

Karen Michele Burns (klibrary) | 5290 comments Thanks, Liz,

When we claim this task, do we have to include the book that we used from the list, or since they are in the database, do we just claim the book and call it good?

As long as the book has been approved/acknowledged here, you're good to just post.

I don't know ;) The Luminaries wasn't there before and I already had it down for the lists from The Economist, so figured I would get 20 points for it and a combo since it's a jumbo!

Deedee | 2285 comments Wow, these do change quickly! I "lost" one (The History of Tom Jones, a Foundling from Tess of the D'Urbervilles) I had penciled in because I hadn't posted it here in time. (It will fit elsewhere, but still.....) Anyways, I'll post here more promptly! And so .....

From The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time: Black Swan Green, The Vanishing Act of Esme Lennox

Yes, they do. But they might come back, too, as I've seen, so let's keep an eye on it.

You're good to go on Posts 84 & 85.

Okay Karen --- I'll keep an eye out for Some Luck for you if you could try to keep an eye out for All the Light We Cannot See. :-)

It seems like I saw Jane Smiley on one of the lists I was looking at for this challenge though. If I find her again, I'll let you know.
