Lex Luthor 3. Battle Suit Read a book with "battle" or "suit" in the title or where a character wears a powered armor (it needs to be powered, not just a knight in armor). Iron Tears: America's Battle for Freedom, Britain's Quagmire: 1775-1783 2/3 for Lex
Ubik/Lex Luthor/Lex Corp/2 of 3
One of the main characters, Runciter, runs a business - all other characters are his employees.

The Traitor Baru Cormorant/Energy cell
That should make 30 for us, and we'll go with Spawn. We may be able to get a few in before the end of the year. ;)

Energy Cell/DC/ The Traitor Baru Cormorant
Since Marvel beat us to Spawn by just a bit, I believe we're going with Jackie Estacado for our portal. I have faith my team will correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, it would count. An inn is a business. :)

This week was an even split between both teams. For Team DC Roger recruited Superman and completed his roster that way. Congratulations!
Soila recruited Valkyrie for Team Marvel.
And both teams managed to acquire the 3 Energy Cells that they lacked to recruit the second portal hero.
Team Marvel finished 15 hours before Team DC and chose Spawn as their portal hero, while Team DC went with Jackie Estacado from The Darkness.
As the end of the year is nigh, the last portal hero's recruitment requirements were reduced to 10 Energy Cells, so if we have a few BotM still coming in in the next couple of days and some in early December, it could be possible for superheroic Christmas readers to work on the last heroes.

Mpauli,
Can I get a bit more of an explanation of this
"1. The Darkness
Read a book with a nightside panorama on the cover "
I'm not exactly sure what that means...

It just means that the daytime of the cover should be at night. A city in the dark, a character outside in the dark. It just should be clear that it is outside and at night.

Okay, I subtracted the four points, when I calculated this week's points. :)

This week was a win for Team DC with a lot of recruitments happening.
MVP Nara completed her roster by recruiting Robin, Cyborg and Martian Manhunter, while also defeating Lex Luthor.
For Team Marvel Christina was able to recruit Dr. Strange and Human Torch, while Lel took the achievement for being the first player to recruit Spawn and Brendan added The Invisible Woman to his team.
Team DC also won the Energy Cell race with 2:0.

Looks like Brendan also recruited the Invisible Woman for Team Marvel. I didn't see that on the list, so just wanted to make sure we got credit for that one. :)

Thanks for the heads-up. I calculated the points, but overlooked it, when I wrote the round-up post.
As my superpower is the edit function, I added his contribution to the weekly post. :)

Robin 2. Dick Grayson Read a book with a circus on cover or where a circus is one of the settings. Joyland 2/3 for Robin
Lex Luthor 2. Lex Corp Read a book with the word "company" in the title or where the main character owns a business (a tavern is fine, but being the head of a crime family wouldn't count). Make Me Chang owns her own PI business, part of a network with others.
