I'm not sure what happened. It is definitely the tracking sheet for our Sabyon team. Maybe in my cut and paste I changed the name in error?! I have changed back

I've shut it to read only as I think it was renamed by another team rather than copied first and renamed. Have messaged the captain for that team and can hopefully reopen tomorrow :)

You can only count books that are started on 1 Feb onwards (precise time depends on where you live). So if you start book 1 in a series now you can't use it, even if you finish it on 4 Feb. If you start book 2 on 1 Feb you can use book 2.

I had the same questions about cover color. Tin Eye can be very iffy. Last group challenge I was in where Tin Eye was required it was down half the time. It is also weird about naming colors. Yesterday I looked one up and the main color name was gray but in parenthesis said blue. Then 1 cover just screamed yellow but came out as mostly gray in Tin Eye.

My team is still closed but I'm going to do what someone suggested and scope out books for our hands.

Is there a penalty for reading over the average you put on your sign up sheet? I put 22, which I padded a bit because I often double my reading during these challenges. If I read 25 will my team be penalized?


Free tip for players who plan: I just copy/pasted the Feb hands into a new google spreadsheet so I can fill in books I might have. Then I bookmarked both spreadsheets.

Mary C, yes to #1. The color cards need to have the cover be that color, and follow the rules for the number as well. Common sense or team consensus are being used to determine if the cover is "blue enough" or "green enough", etc.

There are no penalties for over or under reading. If someone on. your team is having a slow week, by all means pick them up. If you read more than there are cards to be filled, then alright. Don't use the books for the cards.

Thanks, you must have been typing while I was editing. I found the answer to my color question in the rules.

Good to know that I can help if someone has a bad week. It's our slow time at work and I can listen to audio books a lot at work this time of year.

Teams threads, even the very first ones to open, have only been open for less than 24 hours. Give people time to get there and check in. Just for comparison, 5 teammates have commented on your teams’s thread, and I’m the only one who has commented on my team thread. Everyone could be on different time zones, different work schedules, etc. Just give it a couple days and I’m sure it will pick up.
