Magic Shifts #8 in the Kate Daniels UF series can be read as a mystery standalone with a missing person case. But why miss out on the fun of the preceding books by Ilona Andrews?

Magic Stars #8.5 - Kate Daniels fans will not want to miss this oneMy review - www.Goodreads.com/review/show/3494406104
Donna wrote: "“The Girl With The Louding Voice”. By Abi Dare. Excellent so far!"I saw it, it seems really interesting!
I have just begun reading "Nexus (The Hollow Men Book 1)" written by talented author Joshua Grant, so cannot give an immediate review. The link of this book on Amazon Kindle is https://www.amazon.com/Nexus-Hollow-M...
Now I am reading The Silent Patient and it is excellent. Highly recommend it if you like psych thrillers!
By Ilona Andrews,
Magic Binds #9 - this feels like a transitioning middle installment in the Kate Daniels seriesMy review - www.Goodreads.com/review/show/3496007965

I just finished The Switch
which was a cute and quick read. I started a re-read of The Magician's Nephew
with my grandson. I was pleasantly surprised when he asked me to read it with him.
I have finished the first book in the Mortal Instruments series. Awesome!!!! My favourite character has GOT to be Magnus Bane! His character is perfect; I feel.....
Alone who has any suggestions, or wants to discuss the book, add me, or just message. I love discussing books! :)
I finished Vicious
by V.E. Schwab yesterday. This along with Six of Crows are the 2 best books I have read so far this year. Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Currently reading Stories of Your Life and Others
by Ted Chiang.
Finished the last Kate Daniels novel, by Ilona Andrews
Magic Triumphs - My review is more for the series overall than for the book, and small spoilers are hidden. My review - www.Goodreads.com/review/show/3499168234
I just read Nuts over the past couple of days. I'm in the mood for some humor. Starting Swamp Team 3. Fortune and her friends always make me laugh.
Just finished The Spite Game by Anna Snoekstra. A letdown predictable fare.
Have started reading Lisa Unger's in the blood.
Renee wrote: "The Dutch House I have no idea why i keep reading this author. Her chars are all so one dimensional"Me too Renee. Reading The Dutch House. A first for me by this author..
This was a great start to Ilona Andrews's new spin off urban fantasy trilogy -
Iron and Magic - also could be read as #9.5 in the Kate Daniels series My review - www.Goodreads.com/review/show/3500998639

by Catherine Ryan HydeMy Review: www.goodreads.com/review/show/3418395533
I just finished this book that's been sitting on my shelf for I don't even know how long. And it's definitely one of those books that you wonder why you never got around the reading it. It is a turn paging, gritty, account of life in India. After finishing the book, I added all of Aravind Adiga's books on my "Want to Read" list. I may not agree 100 percent with everything his character believes, but overall I enjoyed this book. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking to broaden their horizons of life in another Country or simply wanting to read more from authors from a different country than their own.
Next on my list:
I finished a coming of age horror thriller: The Loop
by Jeremy Robert Johnson. My 3 star review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm starting The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (yes I'm come in those very few people who are reading this for the first time)
I've enjoyed all the Graham Brack novels I've read so far, and the second in the Master Mercurius historical mystery series is another winner. Untrue till Death takes place in the Netherlands in the 17th century, full of murder and intrigue with the author's trademark humour.
4.5★ Link to my Untrue Till Death review
Anthony Horowitz's popular Magpie Murders has another fan. Two mystery novels in book. Loved it!
5★ Link to my Magpie Murders review
Currently reading Quiet: the power of introverts in a world that can't stop talking and it is blowing me! Taking it slow and absorbing the author's observations.
I just finished The Turn of the Key which I found entertaining with some plot holes. I overall enjoyed it though. Review. I'm about to start Atomic Love
Currently reading A Fire Bright and Burning. There are a lot of people who say that it’s similar to other fantasy books, but I’m new to fantasy and avid reading so hopefully I will find it interesting. Enjoying it so far, but there are so many characters that it’s hard to keep track! For those of you who are experienced readers, does it get easier to separate characters from one one another as you become a better reader? Any tips?
Oona Out of Order Oona out of Order. Very interesting read for sure! Weird but in a good way? Possibly....anyone else read this? I'm only on the 1st chapter.....
