Welcome, Lilah! It's so good to have you here! I admire your hunger to honor God, and I am sure He is pleased with you. Many blessings,

Hello all, My name is Thomas, but my friends call me Tommy.
I make my home in the North Georgia mountains. My two grandchildren live only a short distance away, and that’s great. I was an Air Force brat and a Vietnam Marine with two purple hearts, a police officer, and even a schoolteacher. (You can tell I’ve had trouble keeping jobs) I’m also a Christian and a reader and an author. I love mystery books and history, especially biographies.
Thank you. I do have a question for you. I am a Christian and I am also an author, but none of my books are "preachy." I don't mean that in a bad way, because everyone needs good guidance in their lives, but there may be an occasional 'damn' or 'hell" in one of my books, so I've debated if I should even introduce them here. If you think not, I'd still appreciate being part of the group and maybe picking up some new authors to read.

I love Mark Batterson, Karen Kingsbury and Max Lucado’s books.

You're welcome to share about your books here in our Introduce Yourself and Your Books thread, but I would give a warning that there are a couple of expletives in the one book. We don't promote that sort of language here in the group, as Ephesians 4:29 instructs us to refrain from such language.
We're very glad to have you join us. Let us know if you have further questions as you explore all our offered threads.

I just found this group and I'm so excited. I read constantly and love Cozy mysteries, historical fiction and Christian Thrillers the most. I love all the recommendations and reading challenges and I can't wait to dive into some new books in 2024.

Welcome, Jessica! You're right on time to kick off a new year of reading challenges. We're getting them all posted by January 1, if all goes well. Let us know if you have any questions.
Hello everyone,My name is Joseph Chiodi. I'm a new GR author who lives in Cincinnati. Glad to be in this group as I am definitely a Christian. Looking forward to reading the comments on the various threads. Just published my first book - In God We Tru$t. It's a work of fiction about faith, money, and politics and considers the threat the new world order movement poses to Christians. It seems our voice is always being minimized or twisted. Anyway, it's nice to meet everyone. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Joseph
Welcome, Angela! So happy you've discovered us. We have a bevy of Reading Challenges just kicking off today, if you're interested in something like that. Let us know if you have any questions.

Hi everyone! I’m a mom of a 23 year old and love to read Christian fiction. Love to hear suggestions of Christian fantasy reads!!
Hello! My name is Megan. I am mom to three rambunctious boys and wife for almost 10 years. I get wrapped up in responsibilities, but my favorite way to unwind is reading and journaling with mug of hot tea as big as my face. I have been reading a good amount of Christian non-fiction and am looking forward to getting back into some encouraging, clean fiction reading. I am excited to peek at what everyone is reading and see if I can find some great reads at my library or book store.

Welcome, Megan! I love that you have a mug as big as your face. How fun! Does the tea stay hot the whole time? I would get so sidetracked and end up popping it in either the microwave to reheat or the fridge to chill.

Hi, I’m Pamela Baker. I’m a retired software engineer, married for 36 years, and have two adult children and one dog. I read widely and review everything I read. I write Christian fiction. I’m always looking for recommendations for new Christian fiction books and often post my recommendations. Don’t worry about me posting links to my books, because I’m pursuing publication for the many manuscripts I’ve written. Ever heard of National Novel Writing Month?
Hi Pamela. Welcome to the group! My book “In God We Tru$t” is fiction, and describes a world where the US dollar has crashed and the new world order rises to power and controls the population through punitive taxation and policy, and the very existence of the Catholic Church is threatened. Spoiler alert: the Church survives through God’s providence. If this sounds interesting to you, I will be happy to send you a copy. If not, I hope you find something else here in the group!Joseph Chiodi
Hi everyone!Thankyou for letting me join in! I’m 33 and a homeschool mom of 5! I read my Bible studies in the morning time and fiction in the evening. 😊 I’m new to the Christian fiction world as well as Goodreads and have only ever read Francine Rivers which I love! I’m excited to be here and discover more authors I enjoy.
Welcome, Pamela and Lauren!

Lauren, a few of my favorite authors of Christian fiction are:

I have many more recommendations, but those ought to get you branching out a bit. :)

Hello! My name is Josie. I’m working on replacing my avid love of books to Christian novels and books. I love to read and I want to have a library full of good-for-you books that are good for the soul and mind of a believer. Sadly, I don’t know many Christian authors so I’m excited to expound my repertoire!
Hi Josie! I'm also new to the group and wanting to find new good for the mind and soul books!I just emptied my bookshelves of all my secular fiction, and I'm really hoping to find some contemporary Christian fiction titles to dig into!
Welcome Jose and Auntie! You will find more wonderful books here than you will ever have time to read, so good hunting!

Hello!I'm Alyssa Richards, a USA TODAY bestselling author of clean mystery, suspense and thriller novels. My most recent release Forced Perspective: A Novel of Psychological Suspense has strong Christian themes. I homeschool and garden, I love to read, love to write and am looking forward to being a part of the group!
Welcome, Alyssa, and thank you for the support! I hope you'll enjoy your time spent here in CFD.
Alyssa,My name is Michael Adam. I have recently self-published a book, Murder in the Choir Loft, a cozy Christian murder mystery. The whole experience is new to me and I am learning so much. I am told by YouTube and others that Goodreads social media is a good thing to be a part of. I have set up my profile, but have difficulty doing much else. How do I effectively use this platform to learn more about marketing, writing, and publishing my books?
I love this group! I joined in January 2023. I have read the book of the month every month since. I hadn’t been consistently reading prior to that. I love that I have been reading good books that are encouraging and uplifting!
Karen, that's fantastic! I'm so glad our group has helped you in your reading journey. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Hi, my name is Julianne and I'm happy to be here. I just self-published my first children's picture book "The Kitty Cat Brigade" last month.I love to read cozy mysteries (clean mysteries), the classics, and horse stories by Walter Farley and Marguerite Henry.
Hello everyone! My name is Kristina. I consume books at an astonishing rate (when I'm in the mood) but then I run out of books to read and end up having to look up what books to read that I would consider safe and thats so hard to do when most of google recommends stuff with a secular version of "clean". I'm glad I was able to find a goodreads group of like minded people where I can get recommendations :)
