Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments The sixth instalment in Amy Stewart's Kopp Sisters series, Dear Miss Kopp is not out until January 2021, but I couldn't resist catching up with these wonderful characters a bit early. Once again, excellent historical fiction.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I do love to listen to Adjoa Andoh and her reading of the latest instalment of Alexander McCall Smith's Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency series, How to Raise an Elephantis as wonderful as ever. This author/narrator combination never fails to delight.

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments The Night Whistler by Greg Woodland is an Aussie rural crime story that features a young boy who refuses to give up and a disgracefully demoted detective who believes him.
The Night Whistler by Greg Woodland 3.5★ My review of The Night Whistler

PattyMacDotComma | 3299 comments Lara Hawthorne has produced the loveliest Christmas book I've seen in a long time. The Twelve Days of Christmas is beautiful and has a lot of interesting details kids (and grown-ups) will love. Great gift!

Andrea | 2164 comments I usually find Lisa See to be a sure bet, but The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane was not my cup of tea (pun intended). Just 2 stars for this one.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I'm a bit ashamed to say that I have had The Funny Thing About Norman Foreman: A Novel by Aussie author Julietta Henderson sitting on my NetGalley list for some eight months (although the publish date did change from July 20 to Jan 21). I'm so glad I have finally read it: what a wonderful read, funny, moving, heart-warming and uplifting. I hope there's a lot more to come from this talented author.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I really enjoyed the audio version of Monica McInerney twelfth novel, The Godmothers. Each narrative strand is read by a different narrator: Annie Maynard, Ella Scott-Lynch and Nicky Shields do an excellent job of bringing this lovely read to life.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Back in late 2017, I really enjoyed the print version of the first book in Jack Heath's Timothy Blake series, Hangman. I don't think that the voice inside my head was Christopher Ragland's, but it's a perfect fit for the character and I'm very happy to have him read me the rest of the series. 5★s

Carolyn | 9837 comments I usually love Gregg Olsen's books but this one, the third in his Megan Carpenter series didn't really work for me.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments The Goodbye Man is the second book in Jeffery Deaver's Colter Shaw series. I've read #0.5, #1 and #1.5. I'll give this 3.5★s because it's just too long and drags out the unresolved issues from #1. Not going to bother with #3, I don't care anymore
