Deb Omnivorous Reader | 1929 comments I just finished Persuasion by Jane Austen

as apart of my personal challenge to read the classics in 2020. It was more enjoyable than I remembered (and I remembered liking it) ,so I am very glad I did.

Andrea | 2164 comments I enjoyed Pomegranate Soup, a foodie novel about Iranian sisters living in Ireland. I was surprised to learn that the author, Marsha Mehran, attended high school and university here in Australia!

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2304 comments A bit of mood reading had me unearthing my copy of The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien and I loved every second of re-living this story!

Andrea | 2164 comments I've been listening to Michelle Obama narrate Becoming. Still on the fence with this audio thing, to be honest, but I did enjoy the intimacy of hearing her tell her own story in this case.

Carolyn | 9840 comments This was quite a well done magazine parody - a magazine for cats by cats - but while amusing, wasn't as funny as I expected.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I get really annoyed by a lack of quote marks for speech. So Robbie Arnott's second novel, The Rain Heron must be REALLY good, because I didn't deduct half a star for this irritating affectation. It probably helped that there wasn't a lot of dialogue. Utterly mesmerising.

Carolyn | 9840 comments Thanks to Phrynne, I picked this up from Netgalley after she reviewed it. I just love the idea of a week in a book themed B&B.

Marianne (cloggiedownunder) | 9975 comments I was very lucky to receive a copy of A Murder at Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey from a GoodReads friend (thanks, Carolyn!) which is the first in a (sort of) cosy crime series set in 1920s India. The protagonist is a plucky female lawyer and there's lots of facts woven subtly in: this is how I like my history!
5★s and I have #2 The Satapur Moonstone all lined up to read soon :)
