Do you want it moved to another folder, or deleted?
Is it this yours:

At which point during the month do we nominate books for the next month, vote on books for the next month, and find out what book was chosen for the next month? I no longer get the email updates to my inbox
SarahNone of us have been receiving notifications lately.
You would need to check the Groups thread for the info you seek.

Not a question: I tried to link my blog in one of my comments in my corner and it said Goodreads doesn't allow external links now. Thought you should know as it might affect the buddy read thread with the link to Google

Thank you for your comment. Goodreads has not allowed external links using the a href format for several months now.
It is still possible, however, to post an external link without the a href tagging on either side.
It's ironic that we're not allowed to use external links with a href, while Goodreads can externally link advertisements to our viewing experience because they own the site.
Hi Ive forgotten what to do to get my new challenge aligned with my previous years reads. I think you managed to put them all in one place for me?Im only trying to read 25 this year far less than my usual but Id love them to all be in the same place.
Thanks

I see that you managed to create a personal challenge thread after asking this question. Am I correct to assume that that solves the problem?
I know before you managed to move the past challenges into a personal folder? Am I right or have I got that totally wrong!! Ha! Thanks so much for replying
Fiona wrote: "I know before you managed to move the past challenges into a personal folder? Am I right or have I got that totally wrong!! Ha! Thanks so much for replying"All you past personal challenge threads (2019, 2020, 2021) are in the respective archive folders. You could post links those challenges in your current challenge thread to make it easy to visit them. Just let me know if you need help locating them. :)
Almeta wrote: "What is the minimum number of pages allowed for a challenge task?"There is no minimum for our challenges, unless specifically stated. :)

Okay thanks.
Nyssa wrote: "Does this group just change its name every year?"Hi, Nyssa! Yes, that's what we do here. Later in the year, we will briefly have the name of 2022 & 2023 Reading Challenge until after the new year, when the 2022 will be dropped.
Members will have a chance to submit theme ideas and banner/logo artwork, which will be selected via member polls, along with some yearly challenges to bring back. Lots of opportunities to choose the direction of the group each year! Also, this group archives posts rather than deleting them, so your challenge tracking pages remain available.
Hope this helps!
My buddy Sinisa and I just finished a 34 month/34 book series buddy read. (Started November 2019, finished August 2022, maybe I did the math right I dunno). Is this a group record?

Is this a group record?"The spreadsheets we use have only been around for 3 years, so there isn't an "official" way of looking into that. I've been a member for 6 years and delved a little bit into the archives and I don't remember or see a longer one.
So I'll go ahead and say YES! I think that is a buddy read record! I will miss posting Discworld threads!
SarahKat wrote: "So I'll go ahead and say YES! I think that is a buddy read record! I will miss posting Discworld threads!"I'll take it! Thanks so much. We might revive it at some future date with another side series of Discworld books that we didn't include.

As a Pratchett-fan I have sneakily peeked in at you two every now and then and I love that you managed to continue this buddyread consistently all the way to the very last book 👏🏻
HI! Last year I participated in a challenge that ran for Nov-Dec...to read as many of the Goodreads Choice Awards nominees as possible. Is that happening again this year?
TCampbell wrote: "HI! Last year I participated in a challenge that ran for Nov-Dec...to read as many of the Goodreads Choice Awards nominees as possible. Is that happening again this year?"Yes, T, we do plan to offer Rock the Vote again. We found the voting schedule today, so it should be posted soon. Watch the Monthly Challenges discussion.
The first round of voting begins Nov. 15 and winners will be announced Dec. 8, in case that helps with your planning.
Valerie wrote: "The wrong books are showing as currently reading. They are October not November x"It’s been updated, thanks
Leslie wrote: "How do I edit a post? I have a post iluso for my 2023 TBR Jar and was wondering how to edit it. Also, can I delete a post because I accidentally posted the same post twice in the 2023 TBR Jar."Both is possible, but only on the website and not in the app. In the right bottom corner of your comments there should be an edit and delete button. Clicking them will open the comment box or remove your post right away.
Does this help?
Leslie wrote: "Ilona, thank you that helps a lot!"Leslie, if you haven't already deleted, you might consider just editing the duplicate post to say {redacted}. The instructions at the top of the challenge generally ask that you not delete posts. You can message the leader to let her know.

EDIT: Also, there is some good challenge instruction info in this thread.
Ras Tazie wrote: "Hey do we still do personal corners to keep track of our challenges?"Yes, most of us do. You can set up a personal challenge thread for 2023 here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
and a members' corner here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Having limited images, I looked into using images hosted on-line and found this in help regarding images: If the picture is on your computer, and not hosted online, it could help to create a Photobucket account (where they will provide you with a URL for each photo you upload). As soon as you have this URL, insert it between the quotation marks here:

With all the changes regarding external links will this still work for posting images that I don't have saved in my profile?
Sunny wrote: "With all the changes regarding external links will this still work for posting images that I don't have saved in my profile?"Sorry for the late reply, I wanted to check with thr others.
Unfortunately, we don't know, and my best advice would be to just give it a try.
I was hoping to join the clear the shelves group challenge for 2023. I see the 2022 one. Will there be a new one set up for 2023, or is there already one, and I just don't see it? Thanks!!

I’m having trouble pulling up the bibliopoly board on my phone and iPad. Can it be emailed to me ? I wanted to print it for my reading journal.
Bre wrote: "I’m having trouble pulling up the bibliopoly board on my phone and iPad. Can it be emailed to me ? I wanted to print it for my reading journal."I sent you a message, Bre. Let's see if we can make that image work for you. 😊

I kind of figured this might be the case. =D Thanks!
Is there any guidance within this group about when to count books that straddle a month/year end? eg if I started a book on 29th Dec & finished on 3rd Jan, can I count it for January/2023 or should it go in Dec/2022?I generally record the date I finished a book, but wondered if there was any group guidance?
Lucy-Bookworm wrote: "Is there any guidance within this group about when to count books that straddle a month/year end? eg if I started a book on 29th Dec & finished on 3rd Jan, can I count it for January/2023 or should..."We don't really have set rules for this, but generally people use the date that they finish the book. In your example the book would count towards January and 2023 challenges.

Not sure where to report this, but I've found an error in the database. When I "add book/author" for The Big Tree of Bunlahy, and go to the author page, Jack Yeats' name comes up. He was the illustrator. Padraic Colum was the author. Even if I re-type "Padraic Colum" in the author search, it still posts "Jack Yeats". This is really a fairly important error since the book was a Newbery Honor Book for its author. I believe the correct person should get that credit. Is there a way to get this fixed?
(I figured out a way to work around it, but it involved going to a different one of Colum's books and posting from there)

Dear Moderators, I'm really trying to be active on Goodreads in 2023, and I love the challenges that this group offers. I have had about 7 mini-strokes in the past ten years, and sometimes my brain fog clouds my comprehension. I have joined February's Flying Purple People Eater Reader challenge. Do I reference the beginning message number and then use a new message every time I update what I have read. If so, then I did January's challenge wrong, and can do things right from now on. Thanks.

Here's a link to your personal challenge thread.
I found the link on your profile page, actually.

Melissa the Mods assigned to the yearly you joined will keep track of how many books you read for that specific challenge. The Tally is usually in the second post.
