Group Read Rules and Timelines

[Winter, Group Reads]

Below are the Monthly Group Read rules and timelines. We've adjusted the Group Read timelines to try and give more time for people to get a copy of the book before we start, and also to just make things a little simpler.

~ Only nominate 1 book per person.
~ The book needs to be available both as a physical copy and an ebook.
~ Please don't nominate a book you have written yourself, our group does not alllow self-promotion.
~ Please include the name of the book and the author when you nominate to avoid any confusion.
~ Please do not nominate books that are part of a series, unless it is the first book in a series.
~ If you want to agree with someone else's nomination, feel free to do so, but that will be your 1 nomination.
~ When nominating, please stick to the theme for the month.
~ We will only have a maximum of 10 books up for the vote and those will be the 10 most nominated books. In the event of a tie we'll take the books with the highest average Goodreads rating.

Timescales for nominations:

Two Months in Advance:
~ 1 or 2 days before the 1st - new nomination thread will be posted
~ 25th of the month - nomination thread closes
~ 27th or 28th of the month - poll will be posted


One Month in Advance
~ 10th of the month - poll closes
~ 20th of the month - the rest of the threads for next months' group read posted

e.g. January 30th or 31st. - April nomination thread will be posted
February 25th - April's nomination thread will close
February 27th or 28th - April's poll will be posted
March 1st - May's nomination thread will be posted
March 10th - April voting closes
March 20th - April discussion threads posted
