Apocalypses in enclosed space

I have loved books such as Under the Dome and Monument 14. Do you have any other apocalyptic books with a limited setting like this? Any age target, children to adult.

I'm taking "apocalyptic" to mean the end of the world/destruction of society as we know it for a particular group of characters, not necessarily for an entire country/world.

IF you are open to SF - 2001: A Space Odyssey - once they are aboard the Discovery it is an enclosed environment with a very real threat. I'd say Dave Bowman's discovery of the truth is the end of his world as he knows it.

the movie The Thing, based on Who Goes There? has scientists battling a creature in an Arctic (or Antarctic, I can't remember) research station where escape is really not an option.

Movies alone, Alien is actually a classic locked house mystery - fighting the creature on a space ship. There was a novel written, but after the movie I'm pretty sure. Alien

Back to Stephen King - The Shiningis an enclosed environment.

Are any of these hitting the mark?

Enclave by Ann Aguirre is a very good YA story that takes place almost entirely among a series of underground tunnels, with a small community of survivors desperately trying to survive repeated attacks from what amount to zombies. The sequels take the story above ground, but this first book definitely fits the bill.

Emergence starts out like that. But the apocalypse actually happens to the entire world. But the MC is in a bomb shelter during the entire thing. Excellent book. (I had to go grubbing in my read books to find the title. But it really was an excellent book.)
