Where Does This Book Fit?
Nathan wrote: "Where could I put Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller?"This one is tricky!
A book with the same title as a movie or TV show but is unrelated to it
Published in October
A book featuring one of the seven deadly sins - gluttony?
Nathan wrote: "Where can I put The Book Thief by Markus Zusak? Thanks in advance!"3-word title
At least a 4-star rating on GR - it has 4.37
Book with a good first line (you could count the first few lines, since they're short)
Bildungsroman?
Recommended by blog, vlog, etc. maybe? If you're a fan of anything like that, check through the backlog of posts/vids/episodes and see if it's been mentioned.
And check the prompts from previous years, see if any of them work.
I have a couple that I've recently read/am planning to read soon that either don't seem to fit or the categories that make sense to me are already done :). I'm working on the Amazon 100 books to read before you die so I'm trying to use as many of those for the challenge (hence a few of the odd ones below)- Diary of a Wimpy Kid
- Dare to Lead
- Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can't Stop Talking
- Cutting for Stone
- Tattooist of Auschwitz
- Gentleman in Moscow (was going to use the 1920s prompt but it isn't really mostly in the 20s)
- Tom Sawyer
- Huck Finn
Thanks!!
Heather wrote: "Where could I put The Woman in the Window by AJ Finn?"unrelated TV/movie - looks like a movie from the 60s and a tv show
woman in STEM - the main character is a psychologist.
Regarding A Gentleman in Moscow, you could probably use it for a book recommended by a book club or blog. You can also look through the past prompts. However you squeeze it in, please read it. It is very satisfying in both character and prose.
For A Gentleman in Moscow you can also put it with a city that has hosted the Olympics and 4 stars. I would use it for the 1920s, because I felt like the bulk of it happened during that time period. I think Huck Finn was once a banned book for the language, so you may be able to put it in there.
For Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking, as far as I can see it's just gray in the background and not an actual picture so you can use it for something with just words on the cover. Another is more than 20 characters in the title.
Hope that helps a bit.

Thank you so much! I can use it for the woman in STEM prompt when I finish !
I am reading Circe for a book club. Anyone have any suggestions for which prompt it would fit for Popsugar? Thanks in advance
Where might The Night Circus fit in my remaining prompts? List to help as I'm tracking them. If it fits in one with a book already listed, but not ticked, where might the one it's replacing fit? (I was born in April, so the birthday one doesn't work)https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
Anna wrote: "I am reading Circe for a book club. Anyone have any suggestions for which prompt it would fit for Popsugar? Thanks in advance"
Were you born in April? If so, could fit the published in your birth month prompt.
Does it have a great first line?
Does it have a map inside?
Is the book club you're part of online? It could go with the recommended book from an online book club?
It has a 4.28 star rating as of this moment, so could fit in the over 4 star category

I would say you can also use it for the following:
- bildungsroman
- probably fav blog/vlog, etc. It was very popular when it came out
- book set in a city that hosted the Olympics, also country that founded the Olympics
- author with flora or fauna in the name, as madeline is a type of flower
Anna wrote: "I am reading Circe for a book club. Anyone have any suggestions for which prompt it would fit for Popsugar? I was going to read it for A Book that Won an Award in 2019. It won the Alex award for a book written for adults that have special appeal to young adults. I switched to Sadie by Courtney Summers a YA book that won the Edgar.
Jobaha wrote where would The Metamorphosis fit?Great first line:
"As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect.”
Alicia wrote: "Heather wrote: "Where could I put The Woman in the Window by AJ Finn?"I put it in "recommended by your favorite blog, vlog, podcast, or online book club" because of the Peter Likes Books vlog.
Hi all! A friend has lent me The Flatshare and I want to find a way to use it for the challenge.I've already got a book for 'set in a city that's hosted the Olympics', any other ideas?
Thanks!

So I'd have a look at your cover - mine has a book on the bedspread and also quite a lot of pink.
If you're doing the advanced ones, Beth O'Leary is young and still in her 20's. It's last summer since I read it but surely the characters are in their 20's as well.
Scorpio4mom wrote: Where can I put THE GLASS CASTLE?A three word title and it has a 4.27 rating
Great first line: "I was sitting in a taxi, wondering if I had overdressed for the evening, when I looked out the window and saw Mom rooting through a Dumpster."

Thank you - I've got a different cover (mostly green and no book!) but I can use it for author in their 20s.
My library has just announced our next citywide group read as The Silence of the Girls. Any suggestion where I could fit this into the challenge?
Nadine wrote: "Silence of the Girls GR page says it won the 2019 Women’s Prize, so “won an award in 2019”?"How did I miss that?! Thanks
Sarah wrote: "Nadine wrote: "Silence of the Girls GR page says it won the 2019 Women’s Prize, so “won an award in 2019”?"How did I miss that?! Thanks"
It didn't win! It was shortlisted. The winner was An American Marriage.
Awww I was afraid of that!! I’m using the app so you only get limited info. Because GR needs to fix their app!!!
Bhavna wrote: "Hi where would Dark Matter by Blake Crouch fit in? Thanks"Some covers are only words and other covers have upside down shadows between the letters. I used it for the tv show with the same name but not the same story prompt. It also deals with greed; wanting a different life then your choices led to. Hope this helps.
Hey Monica,It’s a bit limited and some stretched for Hillbilly Elegy. I’d say the following
Seven deadly sins - lots of sloth (but this may be a stretch to some)
Book by a journalist - he is/was a political commentator (this is the big stretch. Is a commentator on 24/7 news a journalist??)
Fav prompt - because I’m sure somewhere there’s on it would fit
If doing advanced, book with more than twenty words - it’s east to just say Hillbilly Elegy but it’s Hillbilly Elegey: A Memoir.....
Would Long Bright River count as a book featuring one of the 7 deadly sins? Thanks in advance for your help!
Crumb wrote: "I am interested in reading Normal People by Sally Rooney for this challenge. Any ideas what prompt it may fill?"It would be fit for an author in their 20's, a book about characters in their 20's, and a book that won an award in 2019!
I'm also wondering about prompts for Long Bright River by Liz Moore - I've already used up the three word title. Thanks.
Sorry! I'm reading Long Bright River after my next book, so I don't really know the themes within the book. I'm also using it for a different challenge (ATY). But you could use it for book published in 2020, with more than 4 star rating and I'm sure it was mentioned on tons of blogs/online reviews
Tracie (Tracie Marie Please) wrote: "Anyone know what book Molly Bit by Dan Bevacqua would fit?"Off the Amazon blurb, maybe there are two women who talk about something other than a man? (Bechdel test) It was published in 2020 and maybe you don't know a lot about Hollywood or the film industry?
Janice wrote: "The Pilot’s wife by Anita Shrive - where does it fit in challenge? Thanks"Looks like it was an Oprah's book club pick, so the online book club pick maybe?
Bhavna wrote: "Where can I use Verity by Colleen Hoover? Thanks"4 stars on Goodreads; maybe seven deadly sins or an upside down image on the cover?

Probably a book recommended by an online book club, as people on here have been recommending it
