I think it is? I mean, Ellie Jordan, the characters are adults but there's no sex and the horror isn't so scary as to make it adult... but I definitely think it's adult. Idk. Lol.
Right, Heather? Ugh. I am reading some, but I just can't seem to shake it off completely.

Finished my first book of June
! I really enjoyed it! I can always count on R.L. Stine to get me out of a reading slump... well, that's what i'm hoping. Lol.

Finished
, another book for my tbr mountain! This marks book 40/100 and I'm still 7 books behind schedule 😅😩

That's okay Lili! You will end up in a reading spree again at some point I'm sure! And even if not thats okay too! And yay for clearing a book off the mountain

Did you enjoy Lord of Shadows?
So in June I only read 3 books. 2 were shorter Fear Street book and 1was a longer Shadowhunters book.
No series finished this month, but I also didn't start any new ones.
2 were paperbacks published in 1995, and 1 was a hardcover published in 2017.
One was a 5-star read, one a 4-star, and one a 3-star read.
All 3 were YA. 2 were mystery/thrillers and 1 was UF.

Thanks! I'm very happy they were all 3 stars and above. Those Fear Street books can be really hit or miss. I got 2 pretty okay ones this past month 😂

Finished
! This was a library book so it unfortunately doesn't count toward my tbr mountain challenge. But it is a prizewinner so it counts for my summer library bingo challenge!

Finished
. Unfortunately I can't count this for my tbr mountain challenge because I bought this book this year, and the challenge is to read books you've owned prior to 2020, BUT it takes place in Mexico so it's going in category 2 for the summer bingo card!

It was good! I loved the mythology in it as well as the parallels to The Odyssey... it was fun trying to connect one story to the other.
First of all, I decreased my Goodreads goal from 100 to 75 because there is NO way I'm gonna get there. Lol. 75 has been a pretty good number these last couple of years.
In July I read 3 books, and surprisingly, they were all standalones! Wow. Lol.
1 was a library book and the other 2 I purchased.
2 were by new-to-me authors, and 1 was by an author I'd previously read.
All 3 were YA, no surprise there.
1 was a mystery/thriller, 1 was historical fiction-ish, and 1 was magical realism.
This month was tough. It started off pretty good, I mean I read three books in the first two weeks of July, which was great cause I've been in a reading slump since this whole disaster started in March. But then halfway through the month I started having anxiety. It wasn't bad but it was present for like a week. Not fun. After that was mostly gone, we found out that my grandmother was really sick. And just yesterday we found out that she has cancer. As I said, it has not been a great month. I have not found the motivation to read and I'll I've been doing to keep me together is play Animal Crossing and watch movies. I think we're gonna go down to California to see her in the next week or two.
So that's where I've been. I may continue to be scarce around here, just fyi, but I'll pop in from time to time.

*hugs* Lili! Sorry to hear about your grandmother. I agree with Heather, take the time with your family. And we are here to listen

Thanks for all the well-wishes! 💜 We just got back from seeing her about a week ago. Unfortunately it's stage 4 cancer so she isn't doing great. But she has her good days and recently she's been getting up to walk around the house, so that's good.
As for my sad August stats... I read two books. Lol.
1 was a series and 1 was a standalone.
1 was a purchase and 1 was from the library.
Both were from authors I'd previously read.
1 was adult and 1 was YA.
Both were mystery/thrillers.
I've been very much in the mood for mystery/thrillers/horror lately, so hopefully I'll get more reading done this coming month... I'm not holding my breath though. Lol.

2 is better than none Lili! I only read three so didn't do much better. Hope you're okay. I'm so sorry about your grandmother. Let us know if there is anything we can do. Sending love and hugs.
Yay for finishing one Lili! Maybe try a genre switch up or a different format for a bit?
Otherwise keep enjoying the Animal crossing! Have you tried to listen to a book while playing?

I'm not too big into audiobooks actually. I think I've listened to like 3 in my life, and even then, I was reading along with a physical copy of the book. I find that if I don't do that my mind drifts and I get distracted and then I miss a thing.
Today I finished
which not only counts for my tbr challanege, but it also means I have finished TWO series! The book is part of the Fear Street Cheerleaders series AND the Super Chiller series. Yay! There is a sort of prequel to the Fear Street Cheerleaders, but it takes place in the 1800s, so I am counting it as done! Lol.

Completely fair. I like to listen while doing something. Driving, a puzzle, certain types of games, cleaning, etc. Some books are not made for audio and the narrator can really make or break it.

Do you re-read Lili? I'm the same with audiobooks, I've never really loved them. However, I'm trying them for re-reads and I'm actually really liking them.
In September I read 3 books, which was 1 more than the previous month 😅 However, I read 509 total pages which is like 50 pages less than last month. Lol.
All 3 were part of a series. I started 1 series, but finished 2!
2 were paperbacks and 1 was an ebook.
All 3 books were 3 stars 😐
All 3 books were from authors I had previously read.
2 were YA and the other I think I would consider New Adult.
All 3 were horror! 👻
