Evidence for scientifically advanced Ancient civilizations?

Here's the text of the above article, however I recommend going to the link itself as it shows the pictures (some of which are quite remarkable if they are legitimately from the ancient world):
Chinese mosaic lines
These strange lines are found at coordinates: 40°27’28.56″N, 93°23’34.42″E. There isn’t much information available on these strange, yet beautiful mosaic lines carved in the desert of the Gansu Sheng province in China.
Some records indicate they were created in 2004, but nothing seems official. Of note, these lines are somewhat near the Mogao Caves, which is a World Heritage Site. The lines span a very huge distance and yet still retain their linear proportions despite the curvature of the rough terrain.
Unexplained stone doll
The July 1889 find in Nampa, Idaho, of a small human figure during a well-drilling operation caused intense scientific interest last century. Unmistakably made by human hands, it was found at a depth of 320 feet which would place its age far before the arrival of man in this part of the world.
The find has never been challenged except to say that it was impossible.
The first stone calendar
In the Sahara Desert in Egypt lie the oldest known astronomically aligned stones in the world: Nabta. Over one thousand years before the creation of Stonehenge, people built a stone circle and other structures on the shoreline of a lake that has long since dried up. Over 6,000 years ago, stone slabs three meters high were dragged over a kilometer to create the site. Shown above is one of the stones that remains. Although at present the western Egyptian desert is totally dry, this was not the case in the past. There is good evidence that there were several humid periods in the past (when up to 500 mm of rain would fall per year) the most recent one during the last interglacial and early last glaciation periods which stretched between 130,000 and 70,000 years ago.
During this time, the area was a savanna and supported numerous animals such as extinct buffalo and large giraffes, varieties of antelope and gazelle. Beginning around the 10th millennium BC, this region of the Nubian Desert began to receive more rainfall, filling a lake. Early people may have been attracted to the region due to the source of water. Archaeological findings may indicate human occupation in the region dating to at least somewhere around the 10th and 8th millennia BC.
300 million year old iron screw
In the summer of 1998, Russian scientists who were investigating an area 300 th km southwest of Moscow on the remains of a meteorite, discovered a piece of rock which enclosed an iron screw. Geologists estimate that the age of the rock is 300-320 million years.
At that time there were not only intelligent life forms on earth, not even dinosaurs. The screw which is clearly visible in the head and nut, has a length of about cm and a diameter of about three millimeters.
Ancient rocket ship
This ancient cave painting from Japan is dated to be more than 5000 BC.
Sliding stones
Even NASA cannot explain it. It’s best to gaze in wonder at the sliding rocks on this dry lake bed in Death Valley National Park. Racetrack Playa is almost completely flat, 2.5 miles from north to south and 1.25 miles from east to west, and covered with cracked mud.
The rocks, some weighing hundreds of pounds, slide across the sediment, leaving furrows in their wakes, but no one has actually witnessed it.
Pyramid power
Teotihuacan, Mexico. Embedded in the walls of this ancient Mexican city are large sheets of mica. The closest place to quarry mica is located in Brazil, thousands of miles away. Mica is now used in technology and energy production so the question raised is why did the builders go to such extremes to incorporate this mineral into the building of their city.
Were these ancient architects harnessing some long forgotten source of energy in order to power their city?
Dog Deaths
Dog suicides at The Overtoun Bridge, near Milton, Dumbarton, Scotland. Built in 1859, the Overtoun Bridge has become famous for the number of unexplained instances in which dogs have apparently committed suicide by leaping off of it.
The incidents were first recorded around the 1950′s or 1960′s when it was noticed that dogs – usually the long-nosed variety like Collies – would suddenly and unexpectedly leap off the bridge and fall fifty feet to their deaths
Fossilized giant
The fossilized Irish giant from 1895 is over 12 feet tall. The giant was discovered during a mining operation in Antrim, Ireland. This picture is courtesy “the British Strand magazine of December 1895″ Height, 12 foot 2 inches; girth of chest, 6 foot 6 inches; length of arms 4 foot 6 inches. There are six toes on the right foot
The six fingers and toes remind some people of Bible passage 2 Samuel 21:20 ”And there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant”
Pyramid of Atlantis?
Scientists continues to explore the ruins of megaliths in the so-called Yucatan channel near Cuba. They have been found for many miles along the coast. American archaeologists, who discovered this place, immediately declared that they found Atlantis (not the first time in history, underwater archaeology).
Now it’s occasionally visited by scuba divers, and all other interested can enjoy only in surveying and computer reconstruction of the buried water city of a millennium age.
Giants in Nevada
Nevada Indian legend of 12 foot red-haired giants that lived in the area when they arrived. The story has the Native American’s killing off the giants at a cave. Excavations of guano in 1911 turned up this human jaw. Here it is compared to a casting of a normal man’s jawbone.
In 1931 two skeletons were found in a lake bed. One was 8′ tall, the other just under 10′ tall.
Inexplicable Wedge
On the bank of Mures River in Transylvania, near the city of Aiud, in 1974, an aluminum wedge was found among 20,000 year-old Mastdon bones, encased in one millimeter thick layer of oxides that shows it to be at least 300-400 years old. Aluminum is always found mixed with other metals but it was pure aluminum.
This 300 year old artifact is anomalous because aluminium was not discovered until 1808 and not produced in quantity until 1885. It’s still under research at an undisclosed location.
Lolladoff plate
‘The Lolladoff plate’ is a 12,000 year old stone dish found in Nepal. It seems that Egypt is not the only place that has been visited by Aliens in ancient times. It clearly shows a disk shaped UFO. There is also a figure on the disc looking remarkably similar to a Grey alien.

this article is saying that ancient Egyptian pharaos were hybrid aliens."
Could be true, Sayori - thanks for the post.
That article is worth posting in full, I think:
A new genetic study suggests a lineage of Egyptian pharaohs were subjected to willful genetic manipulation by a technologically advanced civilization. Some would call this definitive proof that the builders of the pyramids had a strong connection with beings that originated elsewhere in the universe.
Stuart Fleischmann, Assistant Professor of Comparative Genomics at the Swiss University in Cairo and his team have recently published the results of a 7-year study that mapped the genomes of 9 ancient Egyptian Pharaohs. If proven correct, their findings could potentially change the world’s history books.
Fleischmann and his team subjected the precious samples of ancient DNA to a process called Polymerse Chain Reaction (PCR). In the field of molecular biology this technique is often used to replicate and amplify a single copy of a piece of DNA, giving researchers a clear picture of someone’s genetic fingerprint.
Eight out of nine samples returned interesting but typical results. The ninth sample belonged to Akhenaten, the enigmatic 14th century BC pharaoh and father of Tutankhamun. A small fragment of desiccated brain tissue had been the source of the DNA sample and the test was repeated using bone tissue but the same results were obtained.
One of the culprits was a gene called CXPAC-5, which is responsible for cortex growth. The anomaly is visible in the image below.
The right section shows the prevalence of the CXPAC5 gene in a normal human. On the left we have Ahenaten’s DNA sample.
It appears this increased activity in Akhenaten’s genome would suggest he had a higher cranial capacity because of the need to house a larger cortex. But what mutation would have caused a human brain to grow? We have yet to discover such a technique despite years of breakthroughs in genetics. Could this 3,300 year-old evidence point out to ancient genetic manipulation? Was it the work of advanced extraterrestrial beings.
Is the mythology of ancient Egypt more than a collection of allegoric tales? Prof. Fleischmann explains:
Telomerase [a genetic enzyme] is only expended by two processes: extreme aging and extreme mutation. Genetic and archaeological data suggests Amenhotep IV/Akhenaten lived to about 45 years of age. That is not nearly enough to consume all the chromosomal telomerase, leaving behind one inconvenient but possible explanation.
This hypothesis is also backed up by the fact that electron microscope analysis revealed signs of nucleotidic cicatrix, which is a telltale sign of the DNA helix healing after being exposed to strong mutagens.”
Does this suggest that Akhenaten, one of ancient Egypt’s most mysterious pharaohs, was subjected to genetic modification during his life? If anything, this allegation supports the theory that ancient aliens once visited the civilization that lived along the banks of the Nile.
Another interesting piece of evidence provides backing to this hypothesis. The image below shows two microscope photographs of osseous tissue sampled from the skull of Akhenaten and that of a different mummy of the same age.
The bone tissue on the left is far denser and fundamentally different at a nanoscopic scale. Could this increase in strength of the skull bones be an indicator of increased brain development?
This is an exciting finding, to say the least,” Fleischmann told press. “My team and I have submitted the papers for peer review and we’ve done and redone the tests enough times that we’re confident they’re accurate.
I don’t know the full implication of our findings but I certainly believe they should at least point the scientific community in a direction that would have been immediately dismissed just a few decades ago.”
If this study is correct, it will trigger an unprecedented paradigm shift. If aliens were actively involved in the life of the most powerful individuals thousands of years ago, does that mean they’ll return? Perhaps they never left at all.
But the most important aspect would be the existence of individuals, direct descendants of ancient Egypt’s royal lineage, that still posses the alien genes implanted in their ancestors’ genomes.

Agreed and in this field of ancient tech (where you have amateurs or semi-pros researching such things) at least 95% of claims are always gonna be pure BS - so no real surprises there for any of us I'm sure.
However, it's solely the other 5% that interests me.
And in this discussion thread so far members have probably listed several hundred apparent anomalies with ancient discoveries and if even one of those are legit then this means "Houston, we have a problem" with our history books and what they tell us about our ancestors being very primitive.
Only takes one such discovery guys.
Meanwhile, feel free to check out this link regarding the 13 world mysteries that I posted earlier: http://beforeitsnews.com/beyond-scien...
Most of them in that article seem a bit far fetched, but one or two might be worth closer investigation...

And this got me thinking about how the ancients knew the skies so well. In a way, on the surface at least, it's explainable as the ancients would have been much more focused on the night skies than modern man is with his TV, radio, internet and closed roofs. However, this doesn't explain (at least to my mind) how the likes of the tribe in Mali, Africa the Dogon knowing about the distant Dog Star which is 8.6 billion light years away and only recently discovered, or how most of the pyramids of the world (including the Egyptian and Mexican ones) line up precisely with the Orion and seem to indicate an intimate knowledge of the Orion constellation.
As a footnote, I found this about the Dogon (who are believed to be of Egyptian descent and their astronomical lore goes back thousands of years):
"Certain researchers investigating the Dogon have reported that they seem to possess advanced astronomical knowledge, the nature and source of which have subsequently become embroiled in controversy. From 1931 to 1956 the French anthropologist Marcel Griaule studied the Dogon. This included field missions ranging from several days to two months in 1931, 1935, 1937 and 1938[28] and then annually from 1946 until 1956."
"In late 1946 Griaule spent a consecutive thirty-three days in conversations with the Dogon wiseman Ogotemmêli, the source of much of Griaule and Dieterlen's future publications.[30] They reported that the Dogon believe that the brightest star in the sky, Sirius (sigi tolo or "star of the Sigui"[31]), has two companion stars, pō tolo (the Digitaria star), and ęmmę ya tolo, (the female Sorghum star), respectively the first and second companions of Sirius A.[32] Sirius, in the Dogon system, formed one of the foci for the orbit of a tiny star, the companionate Digitaria star. When Digitaria is closest to Sirius, that star brightens: when it is farthest from Sirius, it gives off a twinkling effect that suggests to the observer several stars. The orbit cycle takes 50 years.[33] They also claimed that the Dogon appeared to know of the rings of Saturn, and the moons of Jupiter."
"Griaule and Dieterlen were puzzled by this Sudanese star system, and prefaced their analysis with the disclaimer, "The problem of knowing how, with no instruments at their disposal, men could know the movements and certain characteristics of virtually invisible stars has not been settled, nor even posed."
"In 1976 Robert K. G. Temple wrote a book called The Sirius Mystery arguing that the Dogon's system reveals precise knowledge of cosmological facts only known by the development of modern astronomy, since they appear to know, from Griaule and Dieterlen's account, that Sirius is part of a binary star system, whose second star, Sirius B, a white dwarf, is however completely invisible to the human eye (just as Digitaria has the smallest grain known to the Dogon) and that it takes 50 years to complete its orbit. The existence of Sirius B had only been inferred to exist through mathematical calculations undertaken by Friedrich Bessel in 1844. Temple then argued that the Dogon's information, if traced back to ancient Egyptian sources and myth, indicates an extraterrestrial transmission of knowledge of the stars.[36] Neither Griaule nor Dieterlen had ever made such bold claims about a putative esoteric source for the Dogon's knowledge."
I think there are skeptics re the Dogon's astronomical knowledge, as to be expected, but keep in mind this tribe is one of many native peoples around the world whose knowledge of the skies baffles modern astronomers.

Here's the synopsis for this YouTube video (not my wording):
"The Dogons: An extraordinary set of people from Mali, West Africa have baffled Nasa Astronauts and well known Rocket Scientists around the world with their sophisticated and advanced knowledge of the universe. The Dogon are believed to be of Egyptian decent fleeing religious persecutions and their astronomical lore goes back thousands of years to 3200 BC. The Dogon star, which scientists call Sirius B, wasn't even photographed until it was done by a large telescope in 1970. How did the Dogon gain this knowledge thousands of years ago without any known ancient telescopes yet to be found?"
"DOGONS also found that the INVISIBLE star (sirius B) had an elliptical orbit of 60 years around sirius A as well as an orbit of 1 year on it's own axis, as well as other complex findings that NASA is still trying to "CONFIRM" with their ADVANCED telescopes and SPACE shuttles."

Why were the ancients so fixated on Orion, do you think Janith?

Some scientist feel that there is a more logical answer.
See this article; http://skepdic.com/dogon.html

And beyond the Dogon, various other native peoples have been said to have advanced astronomical knowledge as well.
If any of these reports are true, or if even 1 of then is true, is this a sign of ancient aliens having visited the earth? Or
Would it be a sign of something else like remote viewing abilities?

Would be interested in seeing NASA research you mention.
I certainly don't rule out ET visitation in the past. I don't think they hang around everyday (such as suggestions Greys and Lizard races fighting for earthly domination) and it may have been entities not from outer space but from dimensions we don't understand yet.
Watched Ancient Aliens episode and some fascinating studies of ley lines, power grids and ancient megalithic structures. Then we get such great theories with no proof as "They used magnetic energy to move tons of stone" and "mathematical secret codes made for our generation to deliver the message" claims WITHOUT proof.
Some really good information can be buried in semi-techo babble and that is the biggest issue I see in the field.

Proof means case solved in my books.
And you're right - there is zero proof. However, there is A LOT of evidence as I think Janith especially has provided throughout this thread. And much of that evidence, cannot be proven but it also cannot be easily dismissed.
There was an ex NASA employee in this group who I think from memory once verified NASA research into the Dogons - it should be somewhere in a UFO post.

Fay, I'm intrigued. I didn't take you to be an 'alien believer/speculator'. How does that fit into your Christian views?
Yay! Let's have the God and Alien debate! Though I've a feeling it'll belong in the dinosaur thread...

*Heh heh heh ummm...*
Yes, I am intrigued by the alien theories, they're interesting to me. I don't know much about it but I do get my occasional fill of alien mystery.
For my Christian views to fit with that, I'd say if aliens did exist, Jesus died for them too. That's about it.

Fay, I'm intrigued. I didn't take you to be an 'alien believer/speculator'. How ..."
Fair enough and well answered Fay. :)
(Damn, I thought we were gonna go off on another tangent debate...)
So... could Jesus have been an alien? Heehee...

Fay, I'm intrigued. I didn't take you to be an 'alien belie..."
Haha, thank you.
Naw, I don't see a spastic debate coming on...

When Rome was still an empire there was a Greek-Roman physician named Galen. Galen worked with gladiators, caring for their wounds, and later as a physician with the Roman Legions. He is consider the father of both sports medicine and combat medicine.
What makes Galen so interesting is the fact he had such advanced medical knowledge. For instance:
* Galen had an understanding of what became known in the mid-1800s as The Germ Theory, the idea that microscopic entities were responsible for infection in wounds. Galen treated wounds with poultices made with wine and vinegar, both of which we now know have anti-microbial properties.
* Galen also understood that these microscopic entities did not fare well when injured persons were allowed to heal in well lit and ventilated rooms, something that modern medicine didn't really understand until the late 19th century. Galen designed hospitals with wide open areas and large windows that allowed in fresh air and sunlight.
* Galen performed surgeries with surgical instruments of his own design, and these looked vary much like today's scalpels and forceps. He even performed eye surgery to remove cataracts.
Galen left behind vast amounts of medical writings, but his discoveries eventually became ignored until rediscovered in the 20th century. What is even more interesting is that Galen claimed everything he knew about medicine he learned while studying at the Library of Alexandria. That meant many of his advance techniques were practice by ancient civilizations that came before the Romans. Unfortunately, the Library of Alexandria was burned down and all the knowledge stored within lost.

Very, very interesting info, Martin.
That appears to indicate there was extremely advanced info on medicine and probably other sciences lost forever in the burning down of the Library of Alexandria as many independent researchers believe.

My book "The Queen of the South in Matthew 12:42" talks about the Dong-Yi People and their culture in details.

My speculation (and that's all it is) is that Orion's belt is one of most prominent celestial formations, even today. Back when these pyramids were built there was no light pollution as there is today. Those three stars must have really stood out.
Then again, it could have been because ancient aliens were trying to tell us something....

The Hooked X: Key to the Secret History of North America by Scott Wolter:
The Hooked X is a secret symbol first found on an inscribed slab of rock, dated 1362, unearthed by a farmer in Minnesota in 1898. This mysterious symbol inspired the author to pursue a nine-year investigation on both sides of the Atlantic that led to the discovery of other artifacts and clandestine documents indicative of secret trips to North America long before Columbus. The trail of evidence led to a deep plunge into the shadowy areas of Freemasonry and the Knights Templar that most brethren of these orders are unaware of. This incredible true story reveals untold secrets of North America that weave from medieval times through today, forever changing history as we know it.

[book:The Hooked X: Key to the Secret History of North Ame..."
We studied that in Viking archaeology classes, and it has been proven to not have any ties to Scandinavia at all.
Everyone knows that there were people in North American before Columbus, so that's not astounding at all. To me it would not be far fetched to imagine the bold, seafaring Viking's travelling up the Great Lakes to Minnesota. I would just wonder why they would waste their time carving up a rock. Drunken doodling?
The Knights Templar hypothesis is an intriguing one, but not one that has been even remotely validated by evidence. It's pure speculation on that front.

Maybe the Knights Templar angle was suggested by publishers to some authors ;)
I agree re the Vikings.
If memory serves me right, Erik the Red discovered Greenland in about 950AD. And as you know Greenland is virtually bordering North America. So why is it such a stretch for people to think they sailed a little but further?
Surely it's finally time to rewrite the history books and stop teaching school kids that Columbus discovered America?

Well, it is really weird why historians would ever refer to the discovery of any land mass whilst also acknowledging another race of people were already living in that land!

"Mysterious Russian Statue Is 11,000 Years Old - Twice As Old As The Pyramids.
Covered in code no one can decipher."
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/mysterious-...
-although, as we all know, the pyramids are actually far older still.

Interesting image of that Russian statue. Unusual face on it.

One of the ancient technologies Urwin claims to have witnessed in his elite British intel assignment in the Middle East were emerald tablets which some conspiracy theorists claim were made by Middle Eastern alchemists and others claim were made by far older civilizations around the time of the construction of the Egyptian Pyramids.
In the interview, Urwin mentions how the ancient tablet computers didn't use electricity to power them, but rather use human's bioelectricity.

Archaeological and scientific discoveries made by Michael Tellinger, Johan Heine and a team of leading scientists, show that the Sumerians and even the Egyptians inherited all their knowledge from an earlier civilisation that lived at the southern tip of Africa more than 200,000 years ago. This book graphically exposes these discoveries.

Sorry if I'm reiterating here...
I often think about Indian epics, people talk lot about the use of herbs as medicines. There is one which is very interesting and it's known as Sanjeevani Booti and the other name of this herb is Selaginella bryopteris. The epic of Ramayana says, when Laxman was wounded in battlefield and was fighting with death, the Ved (ancient doctor) asked Hanuman to fetch Sanjeevani booti. Miraculously, it saved Laxman. You can read more about this here - http://www.speakingtree.in/allslides/...

And what about the Vimana flying crafts mentioned in the Indian sacred texts?

It's very interesting topic me and my friends keep talking about, my fellow Indian become very offensive when I deny something which is written Mahabharata or Ramayana.
Ancient chariots/Vimana is one of my favorite topics. There are various theories, some Viman's were considered to travel between planets, sounds irrational right? Imagine Star Wars.
The Ramayana describes a vimana as a double-deck, circular (cylindrical) aircraft with portholes and a dome. It flew with the “ speed of the wind”, and gave forth a “melodious sound” The ancient Indians themselves wrote entire flight manuals on the care and control of various types of vimanas. The Samara Sutradhara is a scientific treatises dealing with every possible facet of air travel in a vimana.
There is Vymaanika Shaastra! I don't if it's real, but as far as my knowledge is concerned, it's impossible to fly these machines...

Sounds like antigravity aircraft of the ancients to me, but what do I know...
Star Wars of old India indeed.

When I was doing my archaeological study, I latched onto a phrase from my mentors - a husband/wife team that had made it their retirement bonding pastime (some couples garden, some dig for artifacts).
They said (I don't recall which, but both agreed) that we are such a transient society. Thousands of years in the future, or even hundreds of thousands of years, what is going to be left behind of us? Everything is going digital these days - our whole lives. What will be left for future archaeologists and anthropologists?
And then, the kicker... the fact that we are not likely the first culture to have lived so. Anasazi, anyone? We have some of their buildings, but everything else? There are countless cultures around the world that we know little enough about their homes (cities, day-to-days, markets and trade...) and most of that from cultures who did leave stuff behind. The ones that 'disappeared'?
Yeah. Someday, that'll be us...
Just sayin'.

Scientists have discovered several ancient iron pipes in the vicinity of Mount Baigong, in China's western province of Qinghai which is an almost completely uninhabitable region. Researchers also claim that in addition of the pipes, they appear to have found a pyramidal structure just off the shores of a salty lake. The discovered tubes seem to have different shapes and sizes and are positioned in a specific manner. Inside the mysterious pyramid there appear to be several caves, two of which have entirely collapsed and are inaccessible. A third cave entrance however, allowed researchers to enter the structure where they came across several times on the ceiling and floor, and some of these mysterious pipes actually go into the mountains. On the outside, several of these strange pipes are scattered across the floor and many of these pipes of different diameters lead to a nearby saltwater lake. Curiously these pipes are also found at the bottom of the lake and other surrounding areas in the vicinity. Scientists are baffled by this mysterious discovery.
The surrounding landscape of the region adds to the mystery of these strange pipes as the terrain is filled with strangely shaped rocks that protrude from the ground like broken pillars. The intriguing iron pipes vary in size, with some tubes smaller than a toothpick in its circumference, but the strangest detail about them is their age. According to scientists these strange pipes are at least 150,000 years old. The age of the pipes was determined by the Beijing Institute of Geology using a technique called thermoluminescence dating. The thermoluminescence is a technique that determines how long a crystalline mineral is exposed to sunlight or heat.
So what are these tubes? What was their purpose? And who built them 150,000 years ago?
