Finished Under My Skin by J. Kenner about a week ago, final book in the Stark International Trilogy, and here's my review.
I just finished
The Neighbor by Lisa Gardner. I was hooked from the first sentence, but was disappointed in the conclusion. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I'm finally going to start
. I was holding out hoping for a sale, I hate spending 7.99 for an E book. Finally found a used copy yeah!

Good for you! Her self-published books are much more reasonably priced.

I finished Malice by Lisa Clark O'Neill last weekend, new prequel to the Southern Comfort romantic suspense series, and here's my review. Loved it!
I finished Training Complex by Leta Blake a week ago. It is the follow up to Training Season and was the book I struggled through. Here's my review.
Jonetta wrote: "I finished Everything I Left Unsaid by Molly O'Keefe, a truly extraordinary piece of writing. I was warned by O'Keefe that it ends with a cliffhanger so I thought I'd just read a little of the next book but I find myself already at 25% so I think I'll just continue until the end with The Truth About Him. ..."This is such great news! I have this up in the next few months.
I have finished Dark Heir (book 9 Jane Yellowrock) by Faith Hunter and I loved it. This was a really good one. It's such a great thing that we're 9 books (and a bunch of novellas) into this series and Hunter is still able to give us originality, character growth, and a story that does not go stale. I cannot wait until the next book! Or her newest series, even if Rick makes an appearance ;)I am now listening to The Countess Conspiracy (book 3 The Brothers Sinister) by Courtney Milan.

I do, on occasion, listen to it at 1.25-1.5 speed because Hunter includes so much detail, but I can't skim or skip, I just love it too much. They are lengthier than most audiobooks. This one was almost 16 hours.

I recommended this series to my sister-in-law who loves it and is current! Maybe in 2016....

I really appreciate your being pushy. I'm loving Maiden Lane, which was definitely influenced by your push (with some help from Lauren):)
Because I don't have enough series I thought I would start another one ;) I am listening to The Diviners (Book 1) by Libba Bray (I am in a YA mood I guess as I am reading a suspense YA - standalone- The Escape by Hannah Jayne).
I finished The Truth About Him by Molly O'Keefe, second book in the series, and loved it. And, Molly says she's got two more books planned, which I was thrilled to learn as there are secondary characters I wasn't done with.
I'm now reading Devoted in Death!

I'm not used to seeing you read much YA!

I finished listening to Fractured by Karin Slaughter, Will Trent #2, last week and here's my review.
Read
the Mystic Cove Series and am enjoying learning more about Grace's Cove. I already started
. Each in book in the series is pretty short.
I finished Silver Linings by Debbie Macomber, I like this serie a lot.Now I'm reading Murder of Crows by Anne Bishop, another great book.
I also read the standalone The Martian by Andy Weir this weekend, also very good.
I had a good weekend :)

You had a GREAT reading weekend!
I'm reading the latest in Mary Balogh's Survivors' Club series,
.It's about the only woman in the group; she lost her husband in the Napoleonic wars -- he had been tortured as a spy and she was captured with him.
I've be gone for a while but have managed to get current with some of my series and even started some new ones. I finished
. Narrator Renee Raudman did an amazing job.Last night, I started the ebook
, Temperance Brennan #1 (wanted the audiobook but my library only had the abridged version) but I'm beginning to rethink reading this series. It's little too descriptive for me. I'll put it aside for awhile and try something else.
Really great to see you back here, Jorran! Hope all is well.
Re Temperance Brennan...too grisly in descriptions?
Re Temperance Brennan...too grisly in descriptions?
Jorran, if grisly is not your thing, you may be right to rethink Temperance Brennan books. I've read the first four and really like them, but it's a matter of preference for all of us, isn't it?... and now for something completely different: I've finished the latest Survivors' Club novel by Mary Balogh,
, and I really enjoyed reading it. As one might suspect, there were romantic parts, but there were also repercussions of an ignored property in Cornwall during Napoleonic times, delayed healing from same era, and a man who "had it all" growing up. The last book in this series is set to be published in May, 2016.
Well, I've changed book and series types again. I finished Karin Slaughter's first Grant County book,
, which I borrowed from the local public library. It begins grisly and doesn't let up. Now here I've done it again -- I've begun another series I read about, yes you guessed it, here on this group site!

I just felt like she hurried the ending and didn't really think it through.
I finished Devoted in Death by J.D. Robb, In Death #41, and loved it! Here's my review.
I'm now reading Primal Force by D.D. Ayres, K-9 Rescue #3.

Definitely finish Grant County first! Characters from this series show up in book #3 of Will Trent, after events occurring in the last book of Grant County.

Yes, it seemed that the resolution was somewhat of an afterthought... :0(

I'm on a roll: read a new author to me:
, and I really liked it. The bridezilla secondary story was almost OTT, but in a funny way. Secondary characters were all OK, in fact, and I really liked the two main characters and the story. Very good RS story, and almost light-hearted tone, except when it was dead serious!
I finished listening to Under the Lights by Shannon Stacey, Boys of Fall #1. Liked the story but the romance was underwhelming. Here's my review.
I'm now listening to The Martian by Andy Weir.

This week I listened to
Texas! Chase by Sandra Brown. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
And, I read
The Gamble by LaVyrle Spencer. Though some parts of the story were a little slow, this author knows how to write great characters. My review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I am reading a standalone book by David J. Bell Somebody I Used to Know and still listening to The Diviners.
I finished reading White Night by Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files #9) and really liked it. I always get nervous when reading long series because I'm afraid the fun is going to disappear and it will start becoming a chore the read them. This is not true with the Dresden Files.I'm now starting Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh (Psy-Changling #1).

I've been told that Dresden just gets better and better so it's great to find that you're having the same experience.

I'm with Jonetta. I really like the first few books in the series. The latest one,
is out at the end of next month!
