Actually, Tien, I read #2 first. Now I am catching up by going back to #1...then maybe on to #3. I know...not the right order, but that is what I am ending up doing.

Well, Lahni & Bea, let me know when you'd like to do A Column of Fire... I have a copy of this one though maybe in May or something?

May sounds about right for me. I am doing book #1 in April.

I am interested in Anna Karenina but not the others since I'm not adding more books that aren't already on my list at this time. But I saw some others were interested in one of the other choices so go what works with the most people and maybe we can catch Anna Karenina later.

May or even the summer. I have my own copy so I can read it whenever. My stack of books to get through is pretty big right now so I'm happy to wait a bit.
I have set up a thread for The Pillars of the Earth. I know we said April, but due to possible library closings, I wanted to pre-plan as I have already requested the book and should be getting it this week.
Tien wrote: "Great! Karamazov for April then "
@Dee: are we still on for April?
If so, I'll create a thread...
Anyone else wants to join in?

I looked everywhere for Karamazov & couldn't find my copy!!
Then, I realised that it's possibly one of the books I wrapped for Blind Date lol

ah, everything is in a bit of a mess, hey, but we'll just have to adjust & hang in there. Am going to leave the book wrapped for now but let me know when you're ready & I'll replace it, if it's not picked already ;)

Tien - you still ready to Buddy Read - i looked today - its 12 books with 10-12 chapters each - i want to have done by end of may - so1-2 books a week - is that doable for you?
I'll go & unwrap it this arvo when I finish work & create a thread for us but yes, I'm still good to go for May.
...which is in 2 days' time -where did time go?!

I went ahead and started the next century trilogy book since seemed like maybe less interest but I can slow down if there is (longer chapters in it)

OMG - I don't know where my head is lol!
The Brothers Karamazov (thread) is up

After Daughter of the Blood, I'm not surprised you did, Lusie. I also own this book so thought I'll give it a go too.
Did you see I finally finished Daughter? Yesterday... after 2 weeks of 1 chapter per day until yesterday when I just had to finish because I don't want it to hang around anymore lol... still conflicted about the universe.

Tien, no I hadn't seen it yet. You are braver than me for finishing it! It was just to dark for me. I'm glad I stopped reading it after reading your review.

Tien, I think I will pass at this moment. I will possibly be doing The Pillars of the Earth, which is book #1. We were supposed to do it for April, but that didn't happen. So I will be feeling out the others regarding May.

The Burning Chambers
The Tea Rose
Victoria the Queen: An Intimate Biography of the Woman who Changed the World
Rainbow Six
The Shadow of the Lion
Drood
Warbreaker
Gardens of the Moon
Son of the Shadows
Cell
ok, I've basically listed what I have on hand which I feel like picking up, let me know if any interests you OR suggest what you have on hand that you'd like to pick up & I may just be able to source it somewhere :)

No takers? :/
No takers? :/

Tien, I want to start reading The Bronze Horseman today. I know you've already read the first book in the series. If I enjoy it we can read the rest of the series together. Can you get those books at the moment?
- 578p Tatiana and Alexander (The Bronze Horseman #2)
- 742p The Summer Garden (The Bronze Horseman #3)
One of the books you are currently reading sounds good; The Tower of Ravens. How far are you with that one? I can get the book and the rest of the series

Yes, I own books 2 & 3 so that's easy if you feel like reading the rest.
I'm about halfway through The Tower of Ravens. However, I think you may want to read the series prior to that, The Witches of Eileanan, I think it's called. I read that series a long time ago :) This book (& trilogy) is set sometime after that series.

Aw, just keep me in mind & give me a tap, if you feel like it in the next few months :)

Good tip, thanks Tien! I'll look for The Witches of Eileanan first then.

i want to read the Tea Rose, but neither library has in ebook format and i'm too cheap to buy the kindle book for $13 when it came out over a decade ago
i want to read Alexander Hamilton if anyone is interested - i have the audiobook, its approx 35 hours, but my listening is very slow right now - so probably a 2-3 month listen/read
Stacey and Lagullande, are either of you still interested in doing a buddy read of The Pillars of the Earth?
Is anyone else interested? I do not own the book but I think I can get it digitally from my local library.

Looks like it's available: https://openlibrary.org/works/OL59528...
