I absolutely recommend The Night Circus - (not classified as Y/A) This story is told by multiple POVs and at first I thought, Oh boy...here we go... But the language was so engaging, so beautiful that I forgave the 'telling' of the story. Then, at the end of the book, I found out WHY this one POV was all telling - and it was fabulous!

I have been reading a lot of Y/A so more adult would be a nice change. But if its a good read then let me know.
I have been reading a lot of Y/A so more adult would be a nice change. But if its a good read then let me know. I like books were Werewolves, Vampires, or Angels are kind of the main point of the book and people get pulled into that world. A good balance of romance and action is a must.
I have looked at shiver a few times but being stuck as a human or wolf really does not seem to fit what I like.
Thanks for the replies I and looking into a few of them now.

 - it's a whole series, werewolves are the main focus at the beginning but gets into demons, witches, vampires, ghosts... all kinds of fun stuff. Romance, hair shorter on the action in book one, but there is still lots of fur flying and stuff. Adult, I think you might like it.

Check out author (husband and wife writing team) Ilona Andrews, the Kate Daniels series is pure Urban Fantasy with a magical human female main character and an animal shifter as the main male character. There's terrific action, plenty of drama and a slow burning romance. The Edge is another series it's a bit more of a paranormal romance though.

If you like fantasy, an you're open to something really "new", consider The Ankhs: Red Marks The Child by Amira Awaad
The story blew me away. It's fresh, different, and totally feeds your hunger for the fantasy/action/drama/romance fix. The writer is an Egyptian woman and her setting is ancient Egypt. It's a little overwhelming when you see through her eyes.
Anyway, it's highly recommended.
Oh! There's also another book out called I,Sun..but I'm not sure yet of the author's name. I hear it's a mustread, also.
I have a several suggestions that will go from angels to shifters, vampires, etc. the only thing I feel I should point out is that most of them have a strong female protagonist because that's my favoured type. Now on with the actual recommendations...

Now on with the actual recommendations...I definitely second the Kate Daniels series suggestion, they're one of the best series that have a kickass female protagonist.
I'd say that Guild Hunter from Nalini Singh too it's well written and I love Elena.
This one is a bit different but since it's actually one of my favourites I have to mention it. Spider assassin series by Jennifer Estep, and since you like YA you could check her other series.
Rachel Vincent shifters series is quite good and for YA you have the Soul Screamers.
Morganville vampires, YA from Rachel Caine but she also has "grown up" urban fantasy stories.
And last but not least Alex Craft from Kalayna Price which actually involves fae.
That's all I can remember offhand, I hope it helps!

No one has mentioned the Mercy Thompson. Moon Called is the first book in her series. (She'd the MC.)
There is a "companion" series (i.e. set in the same world) called Alpha and Omega. Alpha & Omega is the short story that starts the series, and you do need to read this short and then Cry Wolf before moving to Mercy #2. There is some over-lap of characters and some of what happens in one set influences what happens in the other set. The time-line for the series--and correct order to read the books in is found at http://www.patriciabriggs.com/books/t....
There is a collection of all the short stories that had been previously published, plus some new ones, that just came out. However, pay attention to the time-line when reading from the book. Unless, like me, you've already read all of both series. (What can I say--I'm more than a bit OCD about the series that I love.) But, if you've been dithering about buying Shifting Shadows: Stories from the World of Mercy Thompson it is well worth the price.

These are what I have read so far and I would like to find something similar. A good mix if action, drama, and romance.
Thanks for any help.
