I still haven't seen the movie. Just from the commercials it didn't look like it did the book justice, but I may Netflix it this year.

15.4 Double the GR Love

I actually finished both of these books last month, but I just read the line in the rules that said that your list can include any books read from October 1, so I added them both!

I absolutely loved both of these books, and recommend them both to anyone who a) just enjoys a good read or b) enjoys chick lit with a twist. After You was a bit depressing, but still a great read. Love and Other... was quite an interesting book that really got me thinking. Check out my Goodreads review on it if your interested! (don't worry, no spoilers!) or you can check out my blog @ Melephantreads.com for a more in depth review...

15.2 Sweetest Day is October 17

I loved both of the books I chose for this Challenge! I audio-booked Hotel on the Corner... for this one, and I have to say, I would stay in my car longer than I had to just to hear just one more minute of this story. It is a fictional story which takes place during the Japanese Relocation Act during WWII. It was amazing! Read it if you have a chance!

The next book I read was hilarious! Happy Birthday... was a nonfiction book about growing up in a Korean family. Laugh Out Loud Funny!

I have a couple of days off from work, so I hope to finish some more books! It is also gloomy outside, so it is a perfect warm fireplace, hot chocolate and book day!

Jen B (jennybee618) Task Completed:

5.7 Fashionably Read - The Next Big Thing by Johanna Edwards. The main love interest is a fashion editor at a men's magazine.

I also finished my audiobook of On the Bright Side, I'm Now the Girlfriend of a Sex God Further Confessions of Georgia Nicolson on Thursday. Cute, but I don't think I can do these back-to-back like I was intending to...a little too much teen angst for me to swallow all at once. So no points for that one, and I may not get any points for that task at all. But I'll definitely finish the series eventually! BTW, I have to recommend the audiobooks of them b/c the narrator is great!

Ooh, I'll have to look into the audiobooks - I think some of the angsty teen stuff is more fun when it's read aloud. I feel the same way - I started that one and it's so funny, but I'm just not in the right mood for them, I guess I'm too old.

Suzanne | 767 comments I finished Baby Proof over the weekend (no points yet--I'm using it for the birthstone task). I really liked it. However, now I want to have a baby! haha. I read the book kinda hoping it would make me feel ok about not having kids. I was never really sure if I wanted kids or not, but now that I'm 31 and still single, I'm starting to freak out.

I'm gonna say it's ok because I don't want anyone to have to run out and purchase books for any task. Like I said before, it's just a way to clean off our bookshelves! :)

Woohoo I have two "How's" on my shelf that have been there for awhile. Of course this task is about cleaning off shelves but I seem to be going to the library quite often, but I guess that is still better than getting new books.

Suzanne, I am in the same boat! I'm 31 and single and don't have any kids and to be honest I never wanted any. But the other day I saw the cutest baby at my local diner and well it got me to thinking maybe I do want kids and then I began to freak out. What about me? Will I ever get married? Will I ever have kids? and on and on it went. Its totally normal to freak out now and again. It can't be helped when all your friends are smug marrieds and having babies left and right. At least I'm hoping its normal :)

I did like them. I have read all of the Gossip Girl and It Girl books (I am 14 at heart), and I think the A List is written a little better and the plots are little more developed. I am sure I will finish off this series at some point. I have ignored the princess diaries for a year so I think I will go back to those once this challenge is over.

It was a different kind of chick lit, that's for sure. You'd think with it being about demons and all that, that it would be scary. But while there were parts that I thought, yeah, that'd be pretty creepy if it were real, it was very comical. There would be times where I would be chuckling and then times where I'm gripping the book because I'm wondering what's going to happen next. Very good read, I definitely recommend it. I can't wait to get the sequel:
Can't Teach an Old Demon New Tricks

Courtney, I love that you want to go to Wilmington so much! :) It's such a cute town with so much to do. It's about a 90 minute drive from here, so it's a quick day trip. Nice in the summertime because we go to get away for the day (or weekend) and relax a little bit.
