Abby wrote: "I just got little women (Louisa May Alcott) and Emma (Jane Austen) for Christmas and I would love to read them with someone if anyone is down!!!"I have both of these books. I will be down for a buddy read for both of them if you want to still have a reading buddy.
I’d do Anna Karenina. Maybe in February though. I might have to skip it if you choose January. We’ll see how the month goes with the other books I’ve got planned! It would be a reread though, so it might be easier to squeeze in.

Is there any platform in particular you would prefer to converse on?

Followed you, I'm @classicalread
How quickly do you plan to read? My bookstagram is the best way to communicate for people who don’t know me personally. @ashleysbooknook
I’d love to do a buddy read of either Emma or Little Women. When do you plan to do it?
Elizabeth wrote: "I’d love to do a buddy read of either Emma or Little Women. When do you plan to do it?"I have both of these books. I don't know if Abby responded to my initial comment, but I am open to reading one or both of them if you'd like, Elizabeth.
We can start off with Emma if you'd like? We can start in mid January or early February depending on your schedule. Though, if you'd prefer reading Little Women, we can change it to that. I am open to reading whatever. :)
Shrouk wrote: "Emma and little women are on my tbr.I would love to read any of them"
I'd love to read any of these books as well. I was planning on reading Emma later in the month of January or at the start of February. If you and Elizabeth prefer to read Little Women, I can do that as well. I have both of them on my shelves, and I'd love to read it with people as previously, I had a lot of difficulty with Alcott's writing.

Alright! Little Women it is. :) Have you ever read Little Women or is this the first time you've tried Alcott's work?
When do you prefer to start reading? Do you prefer we discuss on Goodreads or do you have another preferred platform?

I've read part of chapter one and I found it sweet, but I have not read the whole novel.
We can start this week, maybe tomorrow. There are 23 chapters. This way we will be able to finish it by the end of January.
I think goodreads is OK. If there is any other platform you prefer feel free to suggest it.
I also want to do Dracula, but can anyone tell me how you buddy-read exactly? I'm new to Goodreads and I want to be more active!

I want to red 1984 too!

Hey guys! I'd love to join in for Little Women.
I have just begun reading "North and South" by Elizabeth Gaskell. I would love to discuss this book with you )

Hey, we haven't started yet.
If you are in for a buddy read, we can start anytime you prefer.
Should it be January or February?
Ravni wrote: "Anyone up for a buddy read on “War and Peace”? 😃💪🏼"Hello! Are you going to read it in English? Just wondering )))) I tried reading this book but gave up
There’s actually a book club reading War and Peace over the months of March and April if you guys want to wait til there’s a lot more people collectively reading it & discussing
I have read it several times. Always worthwhile. The edition I have is a Signet Classics edition which runs 1,456 pages. when do you want to start? How many chapters a day, etc.??

March and April are crazy months for me workwise . I think I may start sooner and then join in when it starts,,,have no idea how much real progress I will make between now and then anyway,
Count me in nonetheless!

Yep, in English! :) Might be more fun/motivating to read it in a group!
On Instagram, if you look at @carolynmariereads story highlights labelled “DvT” you’ll see their reading schedule up til 2024 - War & Peace is in March and April I think they’re in the middle of creating a Discord server for discussions of the books they’re reading.

I agree, joining a group is real motivation. War and Peace is a tough brick ))) I speak Russian and mostly read in Russian, but this novel contains so much French
Would anyone like to join me in reading Anne of Green Gables? I'm reading it during the first week of February.

Yay! I've been wanting to read it for ages. I'll set up a page in about a week so we can see if other people want to join as well.
