What are you reading in December 2019?
I'm doing Starsight in audio, then the book of the month, The Bear and the Nightingale. After that, I'll probably continue my re-read of the Riyria Chronicles. I may get to the Winternight sequels if I end up liking book #1.
In print/ebook, I'll be reading the last 1500 pages Worm, along with some manga volumes and short stories, probably :)

I am hoping to finish The Wise Man's Fear by the end of the month. I am also reading Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
I'm about half way through La Belle Sauvage, and I've started The Last Wish in anticipation of the Netflix series coming out.
Once I finish Upon the Flight of the Queen, I'm planning on (finally!) going back and rereading P.C. Hodgell's The God Stalker Chronicles series. Might put something in between as a buffer, but I haven't decided yet.
My books for this month is, of course, The Bear and the Nightingale, Wrath, Lady of the Lake, and Peril's Gate.
Started Reaper Man today. After that it's on to Soul Music so that I can read Hogfather around Christmas :)
Juggling these at the moment: A Little Hatred, Dispel Illusion, The Serpent's Shadow, The Bear and the Nightingale. Juggling books is a bit of an art form. ;)I'm also looking forward to starting soon, Starsight and Age of Death, whenever it comes in the mail.
I'm planing on reading a ton of junk from the library - anything with the word Christmas in the title and our group read.

Hogfather is great!
Hogfather is great!
Helen wrote: "I read so many Pratchett books back in the day, so many!"I started reading Colour of Magic maybe 6 years ago, but it didn't really draw me in. I decided to give Pratchett another chance a couple of months ago and now I have so many Discworld books to read!
I think I read some of the early Discworld books many, many years ago (when they were the only Discworld books) and they didn't really click for me. What finally convinced me to dive into the series was Pratchett's novella "The Sea and Little Fishes", which was published in Robert Silverberg's Legends anthology (and which is one of those stories that manages to encapsulate everything that makes the author's work so great).
I'm reading Discworld right now too. I just picked up my abandoned full reread with Pyramids. I don't know if I'll be able to get through them fast enough to time Hogfather around Christmas, but that would be cool. :)
So many books to read at the moment. I have the final two books of Brent Weeks' Lightbringer series as well as The Starless Sea from the library at the moment and Starsight is apparently on the way. I am also re-reading the second powder mage trilogy ready for Blood of Empire which is all set up ready on my kindle. I just need to find the time to read them all now.
Just finished Blood of Empire which I thought was brilliant. I think I enjoyed this trilogy even more than the first powder mage trilogy. Now started The Starless Sea. It's very different but enjoying it so far.

I think I'm going to read Soul Music after the first of the year.
I think I'm going to read Soul Music after the first of the year.
Finished Dispel Illusion. I felt it was a bit weaker than the other two books. There was too much jumping around time periods, that it was difficult to keep track of what was going on. But it wrapped up well, and the series was pretty solid overall. Now reading The Killing Light.
Yesterday I've finished Oathbringer, wonderful good novel by Brandon Sanderson. Unfortunately, with so many facts and subplots and considering ten books planned, I finished it with a little dissatisfaction. We'll see with the next book if this is just a momentary feeling.Today I started The Blade Itself. I read only few chapters, but I thinks it's a very addictive story.
I'm reading Kingsbane by John Morressy. It's 3 of 4 books in his Iron Angel series. Very typical fantasy, but good. I'm not enjoying this one as much as the first two, though. Going back to this format was a nice break, but it's getting a bit old & predictable. Still, I want to read The Time of the Annihilator, the final book. I got the first couple when they came out & read both the others, but I've never read them all in order.
Finished Wrath. I have to say, this series was fantastic. Probably the best finished series I've read in years. It really is that good. Now onto Lady of the Lake.
Reading The Obelisk Gate in broken earth trilogy. This is even better than the first book of series. Overall series is pretty awesome. Best fantasy I have read in a year or two.
Tnkw01 wrote: "Finished Wrath. I have to say, this series was fantastic. Probably the best finished series I've read in years. It really is that good. Now onto Lady of the Lake."That is awesome to hear, Malice has been on my TBR for ages. Might move it up the list.

I'm surprised this series isn't spoken of more - it deserves to be considered alongside the giants of the genre.
Finished The Bear and the Nightingale. Shared a little more of my thoughts in the book club thread, but I really enjoyed it.

That whole series is brilliant.

Don't know what happened with Helen's, so I just created a new one! You can go vote now :D
