Right?! I have been dying to get started! That's why I read the Sandman series over Christmas break since graphic novels don't count. I LOVED What the Wind Knows except for the very end! I think it would have been a better book all around without the very end. If you read it, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts

I read this one a couple years ago, but my husband wanted to read it after watching the Netflix show (even though I told him the show was nothing like the book). SO I decided since we had it from the library, I'd give it another whirl. I really enjoyed spotting the elements from the book that were used in the show! Great book and great show even though they are only very loosely connected.

Anne - I was actually rereading this in anticipation for book 2 which I have on hold right now! I loved it more the second time though! I was thinking of using book 2 for Card 3 Art/Nay YA fantasy. I loved your review of this book, and now you've listened twice - awesome! I can't wait to get this one! A physical copy of the book is on its way to me, and I'm sure I'll follow that with a listen at some point too!

I want a physical copy so much! I don't usually buy too many books new, but I really want to own this one. The audio is fantastic too - Ocean Vuong reads it himself. I loved it even more the second time!

Tonight I got strategic. I looked at all the tasks and the badges and ruled out the 15 cards that I would not be finishing so I wouldn't be reading books for tasks that don't count. I mean, if I end up reading a book that fits with a task for badge 5, I will record it, but I'm not going to purposefully read books for the 15 cards I'm not focusing on

It's a sneaky one this year isn't it? I will definitely do badge 2 but after that I think I'll just cherry pick. I'm not going to read books I don't fancy just to tick off a task.

I did the same thing. I had plugged in a book for most tasks when gophering and this weekend I went through the cards/tasks and if there weren't at least 4 books that I really wanted to read for that card I lined through it so I would focus on other cards. I still want to read a few books from lined through cards, but I'll get to them in Nov/Dec.

Most of the books that I gophered are on my shelves. I am determed to whittle down my TBR (unread books that I own) this year. I've been working on it for a while and I've got it down to 170. Ideally I'd love to see 100. The challenge should help.
