Several of the titles in The Dresden Files series are puns-Fool Moon, Dead Beat, etc. I'm going with Grave Peril (it's about angry ghosts).

I highly recommend Ella Minnow Pea (Mark Dunn) - it's such a cute book and fits the category well!I think I will be reading Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss for this one.
More title Puns ~•
The Nightingale Before Christmas
•
Beyond a Reasonable Stout
•
Mourning Gloria
•
Probable Claws

Good point. I decided to look up the definition and in case anyone is interested, it's rather two fold:
pun
n.
A play on words, sometimes on different senses of the same word and sometimes on the similar sense or sound of different words.
Lauconn wrote: "Sarah MacLean's Rules of Scoundrels series are all punny titles. The first (which I'm planning to read for this) is A Rogue by Any Other Name."She also has one called The Rogue Not Taken, book one in her “Scandals & Scoundrels” series.
Here some I consider for this prompTry Dying
In the Nick of Time
Guarding Candy Kane
Engaged in Trouble
A Kiss Gone Bad
Chronisch hoffnungsvoll lit. transl: Chronically Hopefull
Blame It On Texas
Once Upon a Cowboy
I just found out that Kirsten Weiss, who wrote The Perfectly Proper Paranormal Museum, has a cozy mystery series about a woman who inherits a B&B with a UFO theme. The titles are: At Wits' End, Planet of the Grapes, and Close Encounters of the Curd Kind: A Doyle Cozy Mystery. I'm planning to read the whole series next year, so I'll probably use the third book for this prompt.

Love it! I might do something like this!
Rachel wrote: "First Among Sequels by Jasper Fforde - Book no. 5 in the Thursday Next series"Good choice. I may choose that one.

I agree that the first two are puns, but I fail to see why the others are puns. I'm hoping that someone will explain it to me.
Terry Pratchet has puny titles, though I think I've read them all. A good one is Carpe Jugulum, and another one is Equal RitesI'm not sure what to pick, I'll have to come back to this one.

Where is the pun with 1Q84?

Wow. This is a rather long book. It looks to be interesting. Can you tell me what you enjoyed about it? I'm amazed it hasn't gotten more press, though it looks as if the author isn't particularly putting effort into it, at least not on Goodreads. She has no profile or anything much. I'm willing to read it if I can locate a copy... Thanks for the recommendation!

Thanks for that information. I did locate a copy and will plan to purchase after the first of the year.

if you like cozy mysteries, The Quiche of Death by MC Beaton would fit the prompt. (And it's pretty good.)
The author Robert Rankin has a lot of titles with puns. Such as:
The Witches of Chiswick
The Toyminator
Sex and Drugs and Sausage Rolls
Raiders of the Lost Carpark

Love the Terry Pratchett idea! Thank you!!
Sorry if this was already asked: but would "Monster, She Wrote: The Women Who Pioneered Horror and Speculative Fiction"by Lisa Krögerwould work for this prompt??
Ella Minnow Pea, which some people have already mentioned has been on my TBR for awhile, but I'm also thinking of Moccasin Square Gardens: Short Stories
Sarah wrote: "It's got to be Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation"I really enjoyed that book when I read it. I keep meaning to reread it, but then there are so many other books out there. I hope you like it!

That's always my problem with rereads - too many new shiny things!! Glad you enjoyed it, I'm looking forward to it.
I just realized that there are two memoirs on my TBR list that might work:Naturally Tan
Nina Here Nor There: My Journey Beyond Gender
Almost all of Kim Harrison's books from The Hollows series would work pretty well for this if you like paranormal and urban fantasy. The titles are puns of Clint Eastwood movies.
Monica wrote: "I don't see why Naturally Tan is a pun. I hope that someone will explain it to me."Because his name is Tan And he's "naturally tan" because he's not "white" would be my best guess.

I just found a related kind of book on my Want to Read Shelf with a pun in the title, so am going to order it from the library. Accidence Will Happen: A Recovering Pedant's Guide to English Language and Style
Brewed awaking by Cleo Coyle is my book. Cozy mystery about a coffee barista who lost her memory and might have been a witness to a crime.
I think I am just bad with puns.. but can someone explain to me why Americanah is a pun? I would really love to do this one for this prompt!
Shannon wrote: "For those who aren't looking for a cozy mystery or the like, I highly recommend [book:The Pun Also Rises: How the Humble Pun Revolutionized Language, Changed History, and Made Wordplay More Than So..."That sounds great! Thank you Shannon.
