Read in the last 5 years, the main female character is in a pageant-like contest in front of a group of vampires who choose women that bind themselves to the vampire for an amount of time. There was another woman in the contest who was dressed very provocatively because she wanted to be chosen. The main male character was the second in charge in the vampire hierarchy, and chose the heroine in the pageant. He takes her home to his compound but waits to feed from her until she consents.
