Perhaps someone has suggested this, but Lost in Translation has nothing to do with the film with Scarlett Johanssen of the same name.
If you're okay with omitting or adding an initial "The", then Feed by M.T. Anderson would work. "The Feed", a British series released in September in the UK and in November in the US, is based on a novel by Nick Clark Windo. Brain implant technology is central to both, but the stories are very different. Windo's novel is a dark thriller, while Anderson's novel is YA. I read Feed this year as a reread of a favorite novel, so I won't be reading it this year. But it's an excellent book!

The Lying
This Book sounds GREAT!!
Apologies for posting with my author hat on but if you're into sweet romance I have a backlist book Instant Family that fits this. Pity they didn't make the recent movie out of my book! And also a pity I can't really use it to tick off on my list.
Caught part of the animation The Snowman on tv over Christmas and thought of the Jo Nesbø book The Snowman -definitely not related!

I like this idea! but Han's book is P.S. I Still Love You instead.
However, I've just discovered there are quite a few books titled "P.S. I Love You ... P.S. I Love You ... P.S. I Love You ... P.S. I Love You ...

Descent by Tim Johnston would work for this Challenge. There is an unrelate dmovie called The Descent which cam eout a few years ago
If you're looking for non-fiction, I recommend The Avengers: A Jewish War Story, about Abba Kovner and his crew during the Second World War. (I also recommend the song Nakam/Six Million Germans by Daniel Kahn and the Painted Bird if you want to hear a catchy tale about Abba Kovner and his antics post WW2).
I’m using this as the first prompt I do for the year as I’m about to start Stephen King’s The Institute and there are a ton of IMDb hits that definitely don’t relate.
I've discovered a 2012 short film called Daughter of Fortune (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2553128/) so I will finally get round to reading Isabel Allende's Daughter of Fortune. There are a few other books of the same name on Goodreads if that one doesn't take your fancy.
I had already planned to read Interference by Sue Burke (the sequel to Semiosis), and it turns out it will fit here! I was a bit concerned about finding a book for this prompt, and about fitting in Interference without resorting to "past prompt". (I try to hold that one in reserve! LOL)Interference is the title of a 2018 American crime drama and an obscure (?) British series from 1985, among other entries on IMDB.
I'm planning to read Demi Moore's memoir Inside Out for this prompt. Obviously her memoir has nothing to do with the Pixar movie Inside Out.
I am reading Those People by Louise Candlish and there is a film of that title, there is also references to social media posts in it...it's good, same author as wrote Our House
Can we go Asian for this? Nora Roberts has a book called 'Untamed' and also there's a Chinese Drama named 'The Untamed' (came out last year).
Sannidhi wrote: "Can we go Asian for this? Nora Roberts has a book called 'Untamed' and also there's a Chinese Drama named 'The Untamed' (came out last year)."I think that works!
I just finished Guardian, another chinese drama, and i have Josh Grisham's The Guardian at home. Might read that.
Miranda wrote: "I'm planning to read Demi Moore's memoir Inside Out for this prompt. Obviously her memoir has nothing to do with the Pixar movie Inside Out."Thank you for this idea!
I read Let it Snow by Nancy Thayer, and as I was reviewing it I thought "I wonder if there was a movie with this title", and there was!
The first book I read for this challenge was Conviction. There is a TV show by the same title, so this prompt is checked off the list!

Deal with the Devil (the first in the Mercenary Librarians series) fits this prompt, and has lots of books on the cover. It's scheduled for release in May.
Euphoria by Lily King. It's loosely based on Margaret Meade. This will also work for book by an author with flora or fauna in their name.
Last Summer by Kerry Lonsdale has the same name about an unrelated movie made in 1969 starring Catherine Burns and Barbara Hershey

Would work for this prompt?"
I'd say it's a stretch, but if you want to use it, go for it! Your challenge, your rules.
No idea what I’m reading for this but The Snowman by jo nesbo works Compared to the animation film the snowman.
Am reading Sudden Death by Alvaro Enrigue. The movie which is unrelated but with the same name is an action movie called Sudden Death!
I'm going with The Institute, I really wanted to read it and there is a 2017 movie with the same name so works perfectly for me.
"City of Thieves" by David Benioff is one of my favorite books.I would also highly recommend "Long Way Down" by Jason Reynolds - it is written in verse which I usually don't care for. I listened to the audio book narrated by Reynolds and it was powerful. It was everything "the Hate You Give" lacked.
It is also short - 1 cd
A friend has just lent me Ragnarok and it struck me that it (probably) has nothing to do with the Thor movie - though having seen the Thor movie I can't confirm this for definite!

- Dresden goes to the wizard conference
- Dresden comes home and is approached by another beautiful woman who needs his help
...and at that point I just kinda lost patience and put it down.
I might get back to it someday (I'm told the series gets better as it goes) but my TBR is long, you know?"
I've read all the way to Skin Game, and have the latest short stories on the TBR. I felt it hit its stride from about book 5, which is when the worldbuilding really kicks in, but I'll admit it was a bit of a struggle to get there
Don't forget, the Dresden Files are patterned after Chandler, Hammett and other "noir" series, and to be honest, quite often that genre also starts "PI approached by beautiful woman"
Harriet wrote: "I have Summer of '69 on my TBR list. There’s a porn movie with the same name!"Thank you for my laugh of the day. First thing too, so I'm starting off on a good note.

Lynn wrote: "Sarah wrote: "Mirawyn wrote: "If you're okay with omitting or adding an initial "The", then Feed by M.T. Anderson would work. "The Feed", a British series released in S..."There's also another book called Feed, by Mira Grant, if you're interested in zombie apocalypse stories.
Harriet wrote: "I have Summer of '69 on my TBR list. There’s a porn movie with the same name!"Oh, no. Does this need to affect my enjoyment of the Bryan Adams song?
So
got added to my TBR list last year or so because I totally thought it inspired the tv show Dark Matter that I loved. Didn't read the description.... I just finished reading it for this challenge and I'd recommend the book. It also works for the prompt about words only on the cover, and 4 star rating.
