Sounds perfect to me!
Sounds perfect to me!
I read two books by Kim Stanley Robinson - Aurora and Shaman. One takes place in the distant future and the other in the ice age. So, future and past. (I haven't finished the past one yet, but I like it so I'm sure I will.)
I am going to go with Truth and LiesI am reading The Masked Truth by Kelley Armstrong and The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch. I am really liking The Lies of Lock Lamora. It feels like a series that you can come back to anytime and enjoy the next book.

This is good to know for the 2021 prompt of Past, Present, Future.

For these prompts, I went with man / woman. The two books I read were The Lost Man and The Woman in Cabin 10.
Optional Questions:1. What are you reading for this category? China Rich Girlfriend and Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother's Will to Survive
2. Which "opposites" did you choose? Rich/Poor. The lifestyles portrayed were polar opposites.
3. What other ones did you consider? I didn't. China Rich Girlfriend was on my TBR and so was Maid. It was an obvious choice for me this time. :)
I read Before the Coffee Gets Cold and The Year After You for a simple title prompt (before and after). I had a lot of ideas at the start of the year but then I panicked and just went with this. However both books ended up being about grief so I liked that they were linked.
1. What are you reading for this category?I read First To Lie and Last of the Moon Girls.
2. Which "opposites" did you choose?
First and Last.
3. What other ones did you consider?
Young and Old (Old: It's Not All Downhill from Here or Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo; Young: Graveyard Book or Harry Potter) or classic and new release (lots of options!)
What are you reading for this category?I read Isabelle Allende's fictional In the Midst of Winter and nonfictional My Invented Country: A Nostalgic Journey Through Chile
Which "opposites" did you choose?
fictional in the later part of the last 20 years and nonfictional in the early part of the last 20 years
What other ones did you consider?
None seriously. And this one, if I'm to be honest, was just a "oh, look at that! That works!" as I was searching.
1. What are you reading for this category?I am reading Hidden and Revealed, the next two books in the House of Night series. It was a happy coincidence that the next two in the series happen to have opposite titles.
2. Which "opposites" did you choose?
I chose hidden and revealed.
3. What other ones did you consider?
I considered doing male/female author, night/day, or hot/cold.
I have three possible pairs, based on the titles. I finished all of them. Which do you think works best? One is a memoir, one is a short-story anthology and the rest are mysteries. Cursed also works for one of the rejected prompts.Tell Me Lies v Messenger of Truth
The Blessing Way v Cursed: An Anthology of Dark Fairy Tales
Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls v Sworn to Silence

Red Moon and Midnight Sun
2. Which "opposites" did you choose?
Sun && Moon
3. What other ones did you consider?
I was also thinking about reading a horror book than following it with a romantic comedy type book. They seem like the perfect opposite genres.
