Good to hear you enjoyed it.

Tanvi, RWC is Reading Women Challenge, a yearly challenge where you read books by/about women :-)

There is a group here on GR's for this. I planned it for this year but didn't even start it. This challenge year was a bust, LOL.

I've had The Girl Who Smiled Beads on my radar for awhile.

I loved The Dry by Jane Harper and had Forces of Nature on my list for this year but didn't get to it. I really like her writing too. A good new find.

Hannah | 384 comments You have so many great books on your plans for this year - I loved Rebecca so much that I went and bought my own copy after taking the one I read back to the library. I also really enjoyed I'll Be Gone in the Dark: One Woman's Obsessive Search for the Golden State Killer, but I found reading it just before I went to sleep wasn’t such a good idea!

We’ve got quite a few of the same books on our plans for this year, so it will be interesting to see your thoughts on them.

Thanks Hannah! Rebecca is one of my all time favorites, so it will be a re-read for me this year. It's one of a few books that I've probably read at least 5 times so far, I love it!! The audio version is amazing too ( and I dont do audio).

I started I'll be Gone in the Dark for my challenges this year, but wasn't able to finish and had to return it, so I'm excited for that one also.

I'll have to check out your plan. I'm determined to start reading again this year, so I'm really excited to talk books with everyone :-)

Haha Jody "The Chook Book" ....did you make that up??!! I am so excited to read this one I might just read it in January...I've seen quite a few readers here in ATY that loved it. I was totally sold when I saw it was compared to Charlottes Web because you know....Charlottes Web.... so much better than f*ing Stuart Little LOL ;-) There was never a mouse who was more of an A Hole.

Jody (jodybell) | 3477 comments lol yes, that's my nickname for it! It was a totally random find for me, the little local library that used to be across the road had it out on display so I took it out. I read it in one sitting (in another library) which was a terrible idea because it was absolutely heartbreaking - definitely a warning, as a mum, it hits hard. I came home and immediately ordered my own copy, I loved it so much! It really is like a Korean Charlotte's Web. Let's forget that Stuart Little exists ...

Thanks Iris!! If I didn't try and be optimistic I'd crawl in bed and cry. It was a rough year that took over my challenge, so it's the first year I haven't finished ( or really even read much). I am definitely looking forward to getting back into it.

Hope you can get your hands on the hen book, LOL. I'm about to put it in my first round of library requests and thats where I'm starting. Enjoy your reading year :-)

I really love talking books with everyone too! Unfortunately hardly any of my friends ever read, my Mum doesn't read much and whilst my Dad and my sister read lots, we have very different tastes. One of my colleagues is a big reader as well, and she is really the only person I talk books with in real life.

One more down.... I was able to find a copy of The Old Man and the Sea on the internet archives ( like a free library) and get my classic out of the way.

Thanks :-)

I don't know what happened, it's like I didn't read for a year and now I can't stop. Also, I've been reading mostly library books instead of off my kindle and I LOVE IT!!!!! Hopefully it lasts although I'm not sure I'll keep up the pace of 13+ books a month ( to be fair quite a few were novellas or graphics)

I scratched that because I am killing it lol, and there are a few big ones in there at 400 pages ( and GOT is 800).

Tracy (tracyisreading) | 2573 comments I am soooooo bored of being home alone in quarantine that I actually reformatted my challenge lists into categories:

1. Books Completed
2. Books in progress/out from the library
3. Books that I don't own that I need to order from the library ( if the apocalypse ever ends and the library reopens)
4. Books that I own at home or on kindle

It has also helped in my efforts to avoid spring cleaning :-)

In retrospect this was a genius move and makes it easy to move things where I need them, figure out what I need to order and what I already have, and cross things off the list. I will now be doing this every year.
